mcjaco Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 Well, you've seen the other side of the PTR, now here's mine. So there. Or something. First, I am not amused with the changes at MOA. I loved, loved, loved Camp Snoopy. Although, as Derek pointed out, it feels more open, I miss the fact that you could sit in the middle of the park and have almost a inkling that you were not actually in a mall. Poo to Nickolodeon Universe. I don't even know any of these characters, so the whole premise is a bit lost on me. Where's the "You Can't Do That On Television?" They need a ride themed to Dave Coullier gosh darn it! OK, enough ranting. Away we go! MoA first. To conclude day one, I made the ultimate sacrifice to save $10. I drank Pepsi. OK. One last shot of Mr. Squarepants. Silly camera. The Mighty Axe is no more. Poop. There it is again. My camera lusts for this coaster. Anyone care for a little Tapioca Tumbler? Hee hee. The scariest thing in Ghost Blasters. Derek. I did like the kiddie bumper cars. Very cool. Paging Dave Coullier. Mr. Coullier. Your aquatrax awaits you. I tried to get artsy. I failed. Yeah. This just rolls right off the tongue. Boo. Just boo. I spy a coaster whore. Crotch shot! Avatar Air Bender. Not the best bender I've ever had. Or the best bender I've been on. That's another story, for another time. In case you're lost, they put up a giant balloon. It let's you know you're in Nickelodeon hell. Dis be da Splat O Sphere. OK, I obviously decided Sponge Bob was the bomb. Or my camera just found it too dead sexy. I guess Dora only explores in circles. Good lord. What did they do to the station? It looks like Crayola puked all over the place. I hate it when beer drinking coaster whores get in my pictures. Mmmm. Aerosmith. Lovin' it in up while I'm going down. In the air. In the air. In the air. Love in an elevator. This sign is awesome. That's about it for my likeness in the theming going down here. Future sight of the Dave Coullier themed aquatrax. Bank on it. It's coming. Checked into hotel, picked up Derek, and we're whoring in less than fifteen minutes. Hour three. Once past the Dells, Wisconsin still sucks. Good lord. Does it eve not rain on these trips through Wisconsin?
Carnage Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 Did you stop at the oasis in Wisconsin that is Tomah?
Vffreak07 Posted June 14, 2008 Posted June 14, 2008 Just to clear this up, they're building a new restaurant and a new store so yeah, no aquatrax
tnguy Posted June 14, 2008 Posted June 14, 2008 I don't even know any of these characters, so the whole premise is a bit lost on me. Where's the "You Can't Do That On Television?" I agree. I grew up with nickelodeon, and I don't recognize any of those characters.
TheRapidsNerd Posted June 15, 2008 Posted June 15, 2008 Now you have to admit, Pepsi Orange Streak, like Flying Unicorn, has one of the best acronyms ever. I dig the new train shells. As far as what we grew up with on Nick: Needs a Slime Geyser.
mcjaco Posted June 15, 2008 Author Posted June 15, 2008 OK, as seen in Derek's PTR, we headed off to Valleyfair (minus the exclamation point) last Sunday. I went last year with Paul on a day in which there were no crowds (late August), and it rained most of the day. It looked like it was going to be more of the same on this trip. Renegade still kicks ass, Steel Venom is yummy, and the rest of the credits are just so-so. VF is a nice park, but not somewhere I'd venture out of my way to hit up. Off to the pictures. An awesome weekend ends with a donkey. They were playing Madonna and Justin Timberlake's new song. It immediately made me want to kill them. We watched the rapids ride from Renegade, and thought we'd try it. Then we saw this. Um. No. Derek feel asleep. Until the waterfall got him! This mini train ride kicks serious butt. Look at it! Corkscrew vertical loopage. It was a must. Derek was watching, and he applies beatings if you don't. Power Tower. One up, two down. It took me ten minutes to get this shot. Yes, I'm sad and pathetic. Ah Wild Thing. You make my heart scream. You make me gooey. OK, not really. Play games made by Cameron. They are all awesomely good. Twirly. Impulsey yumminess. With a holding brake on top. I took this same picture last year. Minus the sun and blue sky. Go me. Artsy. Kind of. High Roller. It is neither high. Nor did it roll. I love me some trains. Wii! See, it's not so exciting without trees. Crazy Mouse through the TREES! I love Renegade. The crew moves fairly quickly and the ride in back is nice and intense. First stop, Renegade. We're sad and pathetic and were the first ones in line. Not Valleyfair! Just plain old Valleyfair. I guess they knew there wasn't a whole lot of excitement going down here.
