Just wondering if there's any other musicians/producers in the house...

I myself write/compose/produce electronic, breakbeat, and techno-pop, 3 of my songs have been published, and i'm working on my 3rd independently released CD. I'm fully computerized. (Who needs stinkin' instruments?!?!? ) Anyone else out there? Any genre! (I also like to remix for others.)

Here's a clip of mine, just me jammin', hoping this evolves into something I can put on the new CD.

Currently playing in a boring old bar-rock band. I do put some stuff together on the side but it is few and far between.

I was playing with a new "Cheap" Korg synth today in the music store while the guy was fixing my bass and it was the tits.

I will post some sample-loops when I get a little extra time.

The nice thing about computerizing is that when a new keyboard comes out, you just find someone who owns it, and ask for samples of the instruments to program into the computer, and voila! -cheap knock-off without the expense, and listeners are clueless. You can pretty much emulate any effect on a computer. (I knew one day algrebra/geometry/algorythms would come in handy!)

I'll post a bunch of break beats and instruments that I've created later today, they can be used in samplers, sequencers, or keyboards.

I've played drums since I was about 14 years old, so about 10 years, I also play guitar, sing a bit, and whatever.

I currently use a P4 with Sonar 3 Producer edition as my main recording software, My brother and I record everything in my garage, its not techno music, at all

^ VERY cool. When I listen to music, I have a tendancy to look at "technical merit" of composition. You guys are good.

I'm currently working with this EMO band, and they suck so bad! The drummer has a hard time keeping up, and the back-up vocals just reek! The band only has a good vocalist and guitar/bass. (The things you do for friends... sigh)

Thanks alot, the song called Branded as Traitor was very hard drum wise, but I was able to record each part once, then we were able to copy and paste the drum parts to complete the song.

I couldn't believe I held that fast of a beat, at least well enough to were its hard to tell, the drums were not played straight through

Sounds quite professional. God forbid you'll have to play that song live. My heart's palpitating already.

Keyboards, here.

I've got a Korg: Triton Pro, Ms2000r and ES1. also a D1600 w/40 gig HD.

Kurzweil: K2500x

Alesis: QSR rack.

Yamaha DX27. (the thing's ancient and sort-of runs when it wants to.)

Behrenger: 24 track Euro rack, and FX processor and compressor.

I play mostly Prog and new age. Just for fun, I'm not that good, but i do like to program them.

^ I was like that when I was younger, programing keyboads and playing around all the time. Then I got my 1st computer, and the rest was history. Now I just like borrowing the church's keyboards to steal all the instruments out of it. LOL

AHHHH my love of Music!!!!!

I have a Yamaha Motif ES and a Korg D16X and I love non computer music!!! Samples are great but just the controll of having it all in one place is nice. I used to have a triton but I sold it on ebay for the motif. I think it's alot better. I am going to Berklee College of Music in the fall to further learn about music! I've been playin piano since I was 6 so it's a def. passion for me. Gotta love the music.

I've been playing guitar and keyboards for a very long time. I've released some music independently, and have written music for some TV projects. I have a couple of guitars and related gear, and a lot of old synths, but I did get an 88 key Korg Triton Extreme last year which totally rules. I'm currently working on a DVD with all original animation and music that will probably take forever to complete...
