I don't have a problem with the new thread. Gives us something to read vs having to look in SFOT locker policy thread. Plus, i haven't read anywhere else about it testing but here.

^Did they really?

Are you sure?

I don't know why they would do that. If any old steel coaster could benefit from a reprofile, it would be Revolution - as it would make it 'better' to remove the OTSR (not shove heads down on the intro/outro of the loop).

I actually did my senior Engineering report on how it would be possible to redo the Revolution slightly to facilitate removal of the OTSRs. The professor was totally lost.

The only thing I would think they did to Shockwave's track would be maybe inspect/X-ray it, replace some welds/ties. It would be really expensive to manufacture re-banked track. Why would it need it? After the 'station drop speed hill' before the left curve/helix, the ride is pretty tame.

First of all, it has not been testing for a week. Today brought the first cycles of the season...

And no, the track was not reprofiled to my knowledge...just refurbished.

From what i saw there was no difference in the track but i just got a quick glance. I think they where just refubishing it not changing it and the track didn't look new?

I was dissapointed not to get this credit when I was at SFOT, it looked like a decently fun ride. Glad to hear though that they've got it just about ready to reopen.
