ebl Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 ^ Mine is AVG Free Edition, but it works just fine. In fact, just a couple of hours ago I did my weekly routine. No one was home, so it worked out well. Eric
mcjaco Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 And don't expect RCT3 to run real well, anyway. That game sucks memory up like a whore to a straw.
Carnage Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 ^ As a guideline, I defrag my computer once a week after doing a Disk Cleanup on each of our accounts. Of course, I use AdAware and Spybot Search and Destroy once a week, too, along with a complete scan with my anti-virus program. All of this takes some time, but it keeps things clean and fast. XP Pro is the way to go if you're using Windows. Eric I use a program that runs defrag while the screen saver is running. So I rarely have to worry about doing a complete defrag. The name of the program is excaping me at the moment. That Windows system defrag program doesn't really do much at all.
terrancew_hod Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 And don't expect RCT3 to run real well, anyway. That game sucks memory up like a whore to a straw. To a straw? I would have went with pipe or pole. Anyway, I'm glad the defragmenting worked. I was gonna say that; sounds like you're probably downloading a lot of stuff (and deleting it) and that fragments the drive fairly quickly.
mcjaco Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 To a straw? I would have went with pipe or pole. It was early, and I'm not a morning person.
