Goliath513
Lots of guests in a small area causes a major lag. That might be your problem.
christianscoasters
^Actually, it's the entire game. When I load it up, the menu lags, when I open a scenario with nothing on it, it lags, and if I test a coaster, it lags. There is not a point where it's not lagging. jjeerr
When have you last installed windows? Windows as an OS gets slower over time, so a fresh install should improve speed overall. Also upgrade drivers for video cards, check that ram works (if ram dies, your computer will feel it ), get dust out of case, and check to make sure other games work. coaster1000
It might be because you are using an old CD-rom. Try to install the "No CD Path." I don't wanna sound stupid, i guess I'm wrong anyway...
Team Thriller
It might be the computer. As a computer ages, it runs slower. Around how old is your computer? --James
christianscoasters
OMG I forgot about this thread! I got so used to not playing RCT2 that I forgot. It might be the computer. As a computer ages, it runs slower. Around how old is your computer? --James Four years maybe? Maybe less. Okay so after months of not playing, I tried RCT2 again. It has the lag still. But if I only have one coaster running, in a small corner of my screen or something, it does just fine. I'm PISSED!!! I took a lot of things off of my computer, and the computer runs a lot faster. I think I will uninstall then reinstall the game. BUT, I need to know how I can save everything I have on the game (saved games, custom scenery, etc.) and have it back on when I reinstall it. mcjaco
Just make copies of all your folders. Have you done a defrag? That always helps. Especially if you've installed and deleted a ton of files. I've never heard of RCT2 lagging. I thought it was pretty stable, and easy on the video card.

I'm gonna see how it runs now.
