Teacups Make Me Sick Posted February 5, 2008 Posted February 5, 2008 I heard the rumors that they are getting back together...now it looks like it might happen.... http://dailyblabber.ivillage.com/entertainment/archives/2008/01/a-new-kids-on-the-block-comeba.html Okay, I know this thread isnt going to be for everybody BUT...I'm sure there are a few out there that remembered the dance to Hanging Tough...and fell in love with Joey as he belted, Please Don't Go Girl. I'd love to hear your thoughts on the news of a reunion.
Hercules Posted February 5, 2008 Posted February 5, 2008 If the Spice Girls reunion is any indicator.....
terrancew_hod Posted February 5, 2008 Posted February 5, 2008 Well I hope one of the members stay sober during the reunion. Won't say who though. I saw this guy a few years back tore up trying to hit on my friend. It was a sad thing to see. Poor thing had to be carried out of the bar. Terry
Chrissie Posted February 5, 2008 Posted February 5, 2008 Another group jumping on the band wagon... Will be interesting to see how this one takes off.
Teacups Make Me Sick Posted February 5, 2008 Author Posted February 5, 2008 If the Spice Girls reunion is any indicator..... What the NKOTB have that the Spice Girls don't is hoards of now grown women reminiscing from there middle school/high school days.
Chrissie Posted February 5, 2008 Posted February 5, 2008 ^ Thats true, but The Spice Girls still had huge amounts of nostalga involved. I am a product of that.... Chrissie "I'm not wearing a Spice Girls T-shirt.." Stevenson
downunder Posted February 5, 2008 Posted February 5, 2008 I can only remember I laughed at them, and gave them no cred. I liked Nsynch's reunion on Robot chicken, they get gunned down by the Yakuza but Joey Fatone survives and avenges their death at a Yakuza mixed martial arts tournament (it's called "Enter The Fat One"). Oh well, their bank balances should be topping up nicely in the next year.
BarryH Posted February 6, 2008 Posted February 6, 2008 Now I can sing this song again! "New Kid (On The Block)" I didn't ask to be famous, but I'm not sore. 'Cause you can see my face in the window of every store. You can buy my lunch box, and you can wear my clothes, You can remember my name just as plain as the face under your nose. I'm a new kid on the Block, 'though I may not be Johann Sebastian Bach. So we may not write the songs we sing, but look at Elvis, he sold his soul and you crowned him King. I didn't ask to be famous, but I'm not sad, You see, I've got everything that I always wished I had. I thank my manager and I thank the screaming girls, I thank my hairdresser for giving me such beautiful curls. Now I'm a New Kid on the Block, well I'm twenty-three and they won't let me grow up. I went down to register for the draft, well I got up to the counter, and the lady there just laughed. She said You're a New Kid on the Block, young girls scream and old boys mock, well you broke my youngest daughter's heart. I knew you kids were trouble from the start. I didn't ask to be famous, but I'm not sure that we're as apple pie as you always thought we were. I can stay up all night. I can have a blast. I can breakdance, I can fight, I can kick your sorry ass. I'm a New Kid on the Block, and 'though I may not be Johann Sebastian Back, there's no need to be afraid of us 'though it just might be your daughter on our bus.
the sound Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 New kids on the block? I think they should change their names to "Middle - Aged Men on the block"
