Team Thriller Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 That place looks so much more awesome since last time I went to Orlando. As I've never been to Seaworld, it still looks amazing with the Kraken. I wonder what there new 09' attration is going to bring. Awesome TR! --James
Shockwave Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 Jolly Jolly Jolly! Great trip report Derek, I do miss Florida a lot.
Sue Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 Love the turtle pictures, Derek! Did you see the African Spur tortoises behind Tut's Tomb? Those are our favorite ones, especially since they always seem to be putting on "shows".
DerekRx Posted February 4, 2008 Author Posted February 4, 2008 ^Surprisingly, no! In my 9 years of going to BGA, I've still never stepped foot in the Edge of Africa portion of the park. Maybe next time now that I know turtles are there.
Sue Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 You don't even have to go through the whole Edge of Africa(unless you wanted to) to see those turtles. They're just right behind Tut's Tomb.
hemmy Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 Anyone know the last time the water portion was open?
Dailey Enterprizes Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 Seems like you had a fantastical time. I just hope to get down there myself someday in the next hundred years. Btw, if you're ever in Winter Park and you're hungry try the Outback Steakhouse because that's where my sister; Melissa, works.
