Well technically they only modified the front spike and that was because of Vallejo's height restriction. I rode the coaster its first season with the vertical spike as well as with the modified spike and I would probably have to say its a lot more exciting and thrilling with the modified spike. I only say this because its a lot more unique compared to the other impulses and gives you a totally different ride. I don't regret that the park had to change it, because quite frankly it makes the ride stand out when compared to similar rides.

But when I look this photo : ...

... I think it is an inversion .

 

Somebody has explanations ??

It is definatly an inversion. It is no less an inversion than say, an inclined loop, or Hydra's inclined dive loop are.

Yeah, they shortened it but it wasn't modified. The only thing that the back spike doesn't do anymore is hold you with the brake, but from what I believe that had nothing to do with the modifications. From what I've heard, the park doesn't use the holding brake because of computer problems. At least thats what my friend who works there told me.

I think the people at RCDB didn't get around to updating it and forgot about it.
