Goliath513 Posted August 4, 2007 Posted August 4, 2007 I lost my loop virginity on Windjammer. Feel sorry for me.
krouvi Posted August 4, 2007 Posted August 4, 2007 Start with a simple loop. California screamin will be a good start I guess as the loop is not the main issue of this coaster and it's not such a big loop. You will be surprised and maybe disappointed about what it feels like. You will be 100% ok.
RctInfinity Posted August 4, 2007 Posted August 4, 2007 I lost mine on RnRC at Disney-MGM Studios, WDW. Just don't worry, inversions aren't really scary, just...exciting. Some inversions make you float a little, and some pass by so fast that Positive G-Forces pin you to the bottom to your seat, like when I went on Scorpion at Busch Gardens, Africa.
anush10 Posted August 4, 2007 Posted August 4, 2007 best coaster to lose inversion virginity: Silver Bullet knotts The ride is really smooth and the loops aren't intense at all.
magicjack Posted August 18, 2007 Author Posted August 18, 2007 Sorry, another question! Does the place I sit on the ride affect the intensity of the loop?
saxman47 Posted August 18, 2007 Posted August 18, 2007 Sorry, another question! Does the place I sit on the ride affect the intensity of the loop? yes, less so on B&M's since they have shorter trains. If you sit in the middle the loop will be less "intense" but you may have some hang-time near the top. In the front or back you will feel more postive g's at either the entry or exit of the loop. On arrow loopers especially, if you sit in the back, you feel yourself get pulled through the loop and don't really notice you are upside down at all.
mightypotato Posted August 18, 2007 Posted August 18, 2007 My first loop was on Alpengeist at BGE. I got the full run of inversions on that ride...immelman, vert. loop, cobra roll, zero-G roll and wingover. I figure you might as well dive into the deep end right away.
magicjack Posted August 18, 2007 Author Posted August 18, 2007 So considering it would be my first time, where's best to sit? Or doesn't it really matter?
KGA29 Posted August 19, 2007 Posted August 19, 2007 I lost my loop virginity 6 years ago on Demon and Greased Lightnin'. I closed my eyes the first few times, but then my friend said he opened his eyes, so of course I had to do it too. Now I really like the sensation of the back of the train being pulled through the back end of the loop, especially on Invertigo backwards.

It's a great feeling at the back, but I prefer to be 'pushed' through a loop
