SFDK and Upcoming TR Questions

Hello TPRers,

 

I have 2 questions for those knowledgeable in SFDK, and one about a TR I'm thinking of doing.

 

First, I plan on going to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom on Friday, August 10. What kind of crowds can I expect then? Also, since I will be going alone, would anyone be interested in meeting up with me for some coaster silliness?

 

My second coaster is to ask whether you all would like to see a Japan TR from me. I went to Japan a few weeks ago on a trip with my Aikido dojo to train and tour the country. During that time, I went to LaQua and Fuji-Q Highland. I have some great pictures, and was thinking of doing a Japan TR. However, half (or less than half) of the pictures would be coaster shots, while the rest would be all sorts of pictures (non coaster/theme park related) from my trip. Would you all be interested in seeing a TR on that trip, even though it's not entirely coasters? If so, then I will happily post a fun TR.

On your first question, I know I'm not what you asked for, but attendance trends are pretty much standard everywhere. Saturdays are the busiest, Fridays are usually the second busiest, Sundays are generally quite a bit less busy than Saturdays and tend to almost be like a regular weekday, Tuesday-Thursdays are generally the best days to go, and Mondays can be a bit busier. I don't think it changes much between parks, though I could be wrong.

 

As for the second question, yeah, go for it dude. I'm always up for international park TRs. We don't get them too much, especially from Japan, so I'd say do it to it. Throw some of the non-coaster related stuff in there. Especially if it's bizarre cultural stuff.

I visited on a Friday this summer and every line was under 10 minutes except for White Water Rapids which was 40. I don't expect it to be much more.

i cant really answer your first question, but for your second one, YES.

 

This is what part of this site is all about (most of the time). I was definately scared when I posted my first TR (its in there somewhere...) I wasnt sure how it was gonna be well recieved or not, but it was acceptable. So I say go for it.

Several of us have enjoyed the previous Japan/Park/whatever TRs. Would love to see the martial arts perspective in addition to the coasters.
