Vekoma Fan Boy Posted July 2, 2007 Posted July 2, 2007 Looks Nice, and as for a name how about... Frame Eater! Seriously, I HATE the B&M's on no limits, simply because looking at one 3-car train, my framerate goes from ~60-80 to ~3-5. Damn, I can't wait till christmas...
asr Posted July 2, 2007 Posted July 2, 2007 Looks nice, but short. The immelmann also looks way out of whack, as the exit turns the oposite way it should for how the track is twisting. On the subject of names, how about Wildfire, Wildcat, Peregrine, or Jaguar? Simple, cool sounding, and intimidating.
Golfie Posted July 2, 2007 Author Posted July 2, 2007 ^Yeah... I'm not very good at creating Immelmans, so you'll notice some jerking in it that I just can't seem to get rid of. The opposite banking you mentioned really doesn't wreck the inversion at all - think of the zero-g roll on Montu! p.s. It was inspired by a compact design; therefore, this model is a compact design.

He said it was inspired by that ride. However, looking at that thread again, I didn't realize before that this was an exact clone of it.

The exit out of the immelman turns the other way and the inclined loop is different. It's similar, but not a clone. Instead of suggesting names, I'm going to come up with one. I'm also coming up with a story taken right from the old Wild West, so expect to see something later today!
Golfie Posted July 5, 2007 Author Posted July 5, 2007 Just a little update so you guys know this project isn't being left in the ditch... I'm working with CCJared (once again - he also worked on Nightmare with me). He's taking care of most of the 3ds which will include some mining tunnels and mine shafts. I can't wait to see how it turns out (Because I only gave him some VERY vague outlines). I'd estimate this to take anywhere from 1-2 weeks, so sit tight!
