EagleFan344 Posted June 10, 2007 Posted June 10, 2007 So, a Mt. Olympus/Timber Falls trip is in the works and I was wondering about any tips for those parks, and most importantly what is the cheapest way to get admission?
OldJJman Posted June 10, 2007 Posted June 10, 2007 If you stay at one of the local hotels, most of them have some sort of discounted tickets for MtO. If you stay at MtO (kinda pricey, but a nice place) I believe you get free admission for all days there, including arrival and departure days. For Timber Falls, wait until after 5pm. The wristband drops to something like $12.99, good until the park closes. You'll get tons of rides in, as it's never really that crowded.
ginzo Posted June 10, 2007 Posted June 10, 2007 You could get a Dells Coupons Book. http://www.dellscoupons.com/wisconsin-dells-coupons.asp They've got stuff like 2-for-1 Mt. Olympus, 2-for-1 Timber Falls, restaurant discounts, etc. It's like $25, but probably worth it. The book has discounts on damn near all attractions in the Dells area. Please be aware that the Mt. Olympus discounts aren't good all season long. Last year they were for June only. Dunno what the rules are for this year. Edit: Yep, same deal this year: " 1 Free All-Day Admission With Purchase of Second Admission of Equal or Greater Value at Regular Price DURING THE MONTH OF JUNE ONLY! Valid 6/1/07 - 6/30/07 Open Memorial Day - Labor Day."
TheGreatOne Posted June 10, 2007 Posted June 10, 2007 For Timber Falls, wait until after 5pm. The wristband drops to something like $12.99, good until the park closes. EagleFan344 Posted June 10, 2007 Author Posted June 10, 2007 So the price is $12.99 after 5pm? Are those the right prices and times?
BamBam36 Posted June 10, 2007 Posted June 10, 2007 I was just there like 4 days ago. Timber Falls is after 5pm. It is $14.99. I got like 25 rides in 2 hours. That's with taking time to take pictures as well. The train was never full. At one point it was almost full. When I left, there was no one else riding but me. You will get as many rides as you want. Let me say that Hades, Avalanche and Cyclops are awsome. After this trip they place #1, #5 and #7 respectively on my top wood list. I like wood much more than steel to. My hotel(Super 8) was 49.99 for the night. It had all day tickets for $25. It was normally $33 I believe. Tips would be: Get there before it opens and go straight to Hades. When you get off, if the line is less than 10 minutes long, ride it again. Than go hit everything else
exmouse Posted June 11, 2007 Posted June 11, 2007 Make sure you check out Riverview park across the road from Mt. Olympus they have 1 adult credit and 2 kiddie credits.
