Six Flags Requests the Honor of Your Presence ... at a 7/7/07 Wedding Extravaganza

From Coast to Coast, and Coaster to Coaster, Couples Line Up To Be 'Thrilled Ever After' With A Wedding To Remember, Courtesy of Six Flags Parks Nationwide

NEW YORK, June 4 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- It's going to be the most popular wedding day of the year, and Six Flags Inc. (NYSE: SIX) is throwing celebrations nationwide to celebrate. In what promises to be the most talked- about event of the summer, all 12 Six Flags U.S. parks will host a wedding extravaganza on 7/7/07: Seven weddings at 7 a.m. on July 7, 2007. From Nitro at Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey to Goliath at Magic Mountain in Los Angeles to Superman: Ultimate Flight at Six Flags Great America in Chicago and the Titan at Six Flags Over Texas in Dallas, it will be "Thrilled Ever After - A Wedding to Remember!"

"7/7/07' is a day many consider to be the luckiest day of the century, and because traditional chapels and other formal venues are already booked solid given the incredible nationwide demand to marry on that day, Six Flags was inspired to create a unique event that will give many couples a truly memorable way to celebrate," said Mike Antinoro, Six Flags Executive Vice President of Entertainment and Marketing. "It's not every bride and groom who can say they recited their 'I do's' alongside a dolphin, at the top of a 200 ft. roller coaster or inside spinning teacups."

Couples chosen to participate may invite guests to the ceremony, and will be treated to a wedding reception at each park after the nuptials. In addition to this celebration like no other, all participating couples will have the chance to win a one-week honeymoon vacation at any one of 20 Bluegreen resorts located across the country, subject to availability and courtesy of Bluegreen Corporation (NYSE: BXG) .

The response to this one-of-a-kind wedding event has been tremendous. Some married couples are even choosing to renew their vows just for the chance to participate. So, save the date!

Thrilled Ever After -- A Wedding to Remember! 98 Couples! 12 Parks! July 7, 2007 at 7 a.m! Here come the brides!!!!

Six Flags, Inc. is the world's largest regional theme park company. Founded in 1961, Six Flags celebrated its 45th Anniversary in 2006. It is a publicly-traded corporation (NYSE: SIX) headquartered in New York City.

I can imagine the bachelor parties on the night before and the amount of "Giggidy" going on afterwards.

An odd promotion, if I say so myself. Then again, Six Flags is trying to aim for the "family" audience.

Odd...I don't know about a wedding, but a vow renewal would be cool on a coaster!

I have a feeling the 7/7/07 will become the new 6/6/06 with superstitious people. Ok I'll admit I was scared on 6/6/06, but to get married on a day you think is lucky seems superstitious to me.

I'm not sure why you would want to imagine what goes on after with a couple that gets married on a roller coaster...unless you are interested in gouging your eyes out.
