dandaman
^ Yes. I have never done it, but when I was there they were asking everyone with a Maxx Pass standing in line to get in, to come to the one booth and sign in. Made it all the more painful... all Maxx Passholders were running to Maverick, too.
ghost007jas
So I have a Knott's Maxx pass, I was under the assumption that I had to go to Guest Relations to print Complimentary tickets every day I was there. Is that true? Great PTR by the way, you had some nice shots.

The only way I could think of would be to walk along the road around the outside of the park, are you allowed to do that? Or is there another way? Because when a friend and I go in the next few weeks, we won't have early access, but if theres a way to get back there, I would rather do that than wait at the main entrance until 10. Or is there another way? Might I humbly suggest... DRIVING on said road outside of the park? That's how you get to Soak City and all the on-site hotels! Just say you're going to Soak City for the day (or Breakers if it isn't open) and park in their lot. On Saturday, we said at the front parking admissions that we were going to Breakers... long story... so we parked in their lot for the day and walked to the resort entrance. Only difference is, if you actually were a resort guest, they'd refund your parking charges upon check-in. I discovered this whole parking thing in 2005, and it's saved a lot of ride time when you do the back of the park first. Dan "That's how I got on Maverick so fast!" Smith I know how to get to breakers, I've stayed there probably over 10 times, I just didn't know if you were allowed to park there if you weren't staying there. Because right before you get to the breakers lot, there is a security guy you have to show your booking confirmation to, then he'll let you by. I've never parked in the Soak City lot, so I assume that would be ok.
HogarthOK
So I have a Knott's Maxx pass, I was under the assumption that I had to go to Guest Relations to print Complimentary tickets every day I was there. Is that true? They don't print anymore -- they just sign you in. Maxx Passes are *supposed* to be scannable at the gate, but this has mixed results at best. (Our WoF passes don't scan anywhere but WoF.) The folks in GR are nice, though.. If you're there early, you'd might as well go in. H

Though it's snuck up on me before, and I've had to go through the checkpoint and turn around anyway.
FeelTheFORCE
I think I'm just going to park in the Soak City lot. I know nothing will probably happen if I park in the breakers lot just for the day, but I want to play it safe just in case. Because when I went in May, they gave us a thing at check-in for our car, and I don't want anything to happen if I don't have that. How do you get to the SC lot? Is it past the security guy or is that left what you were talking about? This will help: Where exactly should I turn to go to the SC lot and where is the security booth? Is it that road right after Camper Village?
dandaman
My best artist's interpretation. Note the extra line in case you miss the first turn into the parking lot, plus the route to the resort gate... not to mention the supreme artistry involved with this piece. FeelTheFORCE
Sorry about all the questions, but this will be it, I promise! I've gone to the breakers numerous times, but I've never really payed attention. When you are at the front, you just go to the left booth like you were going to the breakers and tell them you are going to Soak City?
dandaman
That's correct; no walking on the street. It leads straight to Breakers, but there's posted signs not to walk (not to mention minimal room on the bridge over the entrance). Once you go straight ahead to around Ripcord, follow the sidewalk under Magnum and hang a right; you should see the entrance by then. I don't mind answering the questions as long as I can explain them right!
FeelTheFORCE
1 more! Is there a booth at the entrance to the SC lot? Or do you just go in and park like the breakers lot? I should have asked this from the start, but, do you have aim? It would be easier to talk there.
dandaman
No booth for the SC lot. Make a quick left just after Mean Streak and make the next right into the lot. Sorry, no AIM.
FeelTheFORCE
Thanks for all of your help, I really appreciate it. It's settled then, I'm going to park in the SC lot. I still have to wait around until 10, though. Oh well, at least they'll be open until 10pm, unlike my first trip, they were only open until 7pm. Can't wait for the trip now! coastrfreak2000
I'm confused.. Is the Soak City lot open early enough for morning ERT? And is the SC lot and the Magnum gate connected somehow?
FeelTheFORCE
I just thought of something. I noticed that SC is only open until 9, whereas the park will be open until 10. You don't have to be out of the SC lot at 9 when it closes, do you?
FeelTheFORCE
I'm confused.. Is the Soak City lot open early enough for morning ERT? And is the SC lot and the Magnum gate connected somehow? Not all the time, but when I'm going, SC opens with the park at 10 am. I plan on getting there around 9, I don't see any reason why they wouldn't let me park yet. Yes, they are connected. FeelTheFORCE
Well, I emailed them a couple days ago to make sure and it's definitely official now, I'm parking in the SC lot, here's the email I got this morning. "Hello, Thank you for your interest in Cedar Point. You may park in the Soak City parking lot instead of the main lot. If you have any other questions about Cedar Point, please call our Information Line. Judy S."
