PKDFreak
Is it just me or do Dollywood and Silver Dollar City look oddly the same? They both have the BIG looping coaster (TN Tornado, Wildfire), major non looper (Powder Keg, Thunderhead), family coaster (Blazing Fury, Fire In the Hole), which i have to say Blazing Fury uses that line every time a train leaves, both themed around fire, and their both indoors. Same kinds of food are served, and not every park has their style of food! These parks arent somehow related are they? Is it just me? -One more thing: I saw in robs latest TR that they both have Chaletes or "Condos" that can be seen from the Looping coaster? Its odd. SharkTums
Actually they are! They used to both be called Silver Dollar City and were the same company. Now they are a bit different but still managed by the same parent company. A lot of their rides are identical as well like Fire in the Hole/Blazin Fury and Wilderness Waterboggan/and whatever they call theirs!, etc. 2 of the best parks in the country if you ask me! Elissa "misses SDC already!" Alvey

coaster1
Give it a year or two and SDC will have a GCI woodie .. the Herschends are thrilled with the work from GCI and S&S .. so I can bet you'll see each company providing a new ride to DW and SDC in the near future.
