Hey everybody!

I bought some plane tickets to Columbus Ohio last week and I'm in need of help.

I arrive June 20th and have ten days to tour around the area before I have to be back to Columbus for my flight home.

I already have a hotel booked for Cedar Point (King's Inn?) for the first two nights.

My dad wants to hit up New York and Washington DC on the trip, but that leaves the rest of the planning to me.

Does anyone have any suggestions on where to go, stay, and visit? Themeparks are a priority.

Thanks alot!!!

-Mark

Is there a King's Inn in Sandusky? I'm aware of the King's Inn that's near King's Island. If you booked the King's Inn near King's Island and plan to go to Cedar Point those two days then it's going to be a really long drive, they're on opposite ends of the state. You may want to look at the Midwest Tour flyer that was posted, it has a list of a few parks in and around the Ohio area. A few examples are King's Island, Kentucky Kingdom, Beech Bend and Holiday World. And Columbus is quite a distance from New York and DC as well. Is it 10 days for the whole trip or 10 days to go to amusement parks? Are you driving everywhere in a rental car from the Columbus area?

^ There is a King's Inn by cedar point, i checked the second my dad told me he booked one there. I was afraid he booked it for King's Island too.

Yeah, we will be renting a car, and i know NY/DC is far... they wern't my choice. 10 days is for the whole trip.

Also, i can't load the Midwest Flyer, i tired for the same reason, but i have ZERO space on my computer, and i don't have the program to open it.

I don't care if yous ee Avnue Q without me. Say "Hi!" to Aaron for me...speaking of whcih, The Paramount on Times Square is a...nice place to stay. Go to Holiday World...or else. I would also reccommending looking at YOUrself in the mirror in every state you visit...I'm sure that is quite a rush. ONE MORE THING...I would also reccommend finding me and saying Hi...and stuff. Us together...best part of the trip, yeah? I will want to talk to your mom as well.

Well... just a few miles north of DC is SFA.... Or about an hours south is KD..,. and BGE a bit more south.

And Gadv is only an hour or so from NYC.. Also Rye Playland and the Coney stuff (both Coney and Rye are on NYCs bus/subway lines)

Traveling east from CP would permit one to easily hit, well, every park in Pennsylvania (Knoebels, Kennywood, Dorney, Hershey), SFGAdv, then take 95 down to Virginia -- and you could hit KD or BGE very easily, then back to DC (SFAm ?), and back to Columbus.

Personally, I'd skip DC and focus on the Columbus to NYC corridor.

http://www.coast2coaster.com/ should help a great deal.

PA - Conneaut, Waldameer and Lakemont as well, they are all easily accessible from Rt. 80 or the PA Turnpike. How can you go through PA and not ride the oldest coaster - Leap the Dips at Lakemont!!!

And if you're doing to DC from SFGADV, skip 95 and drive down the shore to take advantage of the boardwalk parks on the Jersey coast.

Thanks you guys, this is really helping, i didn't even think of anything past the staple parks.. other than knoebels.

I wish i had longer, i'd love to visit some of the smaller ones along the way.

I've been to most of the PA small parks, and found none of them to be particularly worth going out of the way for, or skipping a "bigger" park for, ESPECIALLY Lakemont. That place was a freaking dump. Idlewild was the best of the three in that general area [idlewild, Lakemont, del Grosso's].

But of course this depends on your coaster/park preference.
