niiicolaaah Posted April 22, 2007 Posted April 22, 2007 Today I went to Canada's Wonderland to get my Maxx pass processed. It was a gorgeous day, in the 70s, and it was such torture to have such perfect weather and not be able to ride anything. Um.... wait... something's not right here... Hi, I'm a dork, and I have my Maxx pass. There were very few people there, and it took about 30 seconds to process my pass. OMG... they were TESTING Dragon Fire and Cliffhanger. Or training ride ops, I don't know. Such torture! This is the new-for-2007 picnic area. Probably a good idea, as people just eat their lunches in the random forest area outside the park entrance. However, it's pretty small. Christine thought I was absolutely nuts when I was excited at the garbage cans. She's probably right. Yeah... there were quite a few of these hanging around. Oh yeah, me and my (not so) favorite Vekoma SLC. I wonder what they will rename this? Then you have to drive around this housing development, and the first thing you see is Splashworks and Spinebuster! Exit the 400 at Rutherford Road, and the park entrance is straight across the intersection. How convenient! OMG! Best car/license plate combination EVER! It was a smart car, and the license said "lil nasty"! Christine models our breakfast/lunch.
niiicolaaah Posted April 22, 2007 Author Posted April 22, 2007 After getting my pass processed, we headed next door to the Vaughan Mills Mall. The last store we checked out was One's, where I found obscene stuff a few years ago! We only saw awesome and cute stuff this time, like these huge Chip and Dale stuffed animals. I set off all the gags with my flash. And a shooting gallery! The store was huge, with random weird displays, like these buffalo thingies They had a really cool fish tank! We also stuck our heads in Bass Outdoor World. And a little carousel with cars and motorcycles on it. We checked out the NASCAR Speed Park, which doesn't have a coaster, but does have an indoor frog hopper and go kart track. Huge sign.
kennywood!007 Posted April 22, 2007 Posted April 22, 2007 Cool PTR! Dragon Fire looked like theres people on it....
niiicolaaah Posted April 22, 2007 Author Posted April 22, 2007 On the way home, we stopped off on Clifton Hill in Niagara Falls to have lunch/dinner. Louis Tussaud's Wax museum. I don't remember this being here... strange! Here's another haunted attraction. This time it's Frankenstein holding a burger. There is now an MGM thing next to the Marvel Superhero Adventure. I felt like I was back in Orlando. And had some delicious pizza at Boston Pizza, where I always seem to end up. We had "mudslides". I have never seen a mudslide look like this. Here's a cheesy haunted attraction. No time for those today! Ferris wheel of DOOM
coastrfreak2000 Posted April 22, 2007 Posted April 22, 2007 I still haven't gotten my Maxx Pass yet. I'm going to brave the dreadful lines at Preview Nite. Nice TR, BTW.
dandaman Posted April 23, 2007 Posted April 23, 2007 ^I suggest you stop caring, and go to Marineland instead. I actually just mentioned this in that Gatlinburg TR...
vistaway Posted April 23, 2007 Posted April 23, 2007 Nice TR - thanks. I am looking forward to opening weekend (although the preview night doesn't do it for me anymore - too busy - I can wait for the Sunday). I really like One's - you never know what you'll find there, and it's decent quality. Looks like the Wonderland Maxx pass is different than the KI one? For some reason, I had it in my head that they would all look the same this year.
kissorkill2night Posted April 23, 2007 Posted April 23, 2007 I never thought about just using a flash to set those things off at the shooting arcade range in outdoor worlds hahahaha
Meteornotes Posted April 23, 2007 Posted April 23, 2007 The best possible trip you could ever have to Canada's Wonderland is, of course, when it's closed. Good call, Nicole. dt
Carnage Posted April 23, 2007 Posted April 23, 2007 I never thought about just using a flash to set those things off at the shooting arcade range in outdoor worlds hahahaha Well that flash trick works less and less now. Only the shooting ranges that use light will work. The newer shooting ranges use a laser, and the flash trick will not work. Just about all the shooting ranges in major theme parks have been converted to the laser versions.
niiicolaaah Posted April 23, 2007 Author Posted April 23, 2007 I didn't really use a flash. The picture is really blurry... can't you tell? lol
