LOVE SFKK
So we decided to take a trip down to GWL in Kansas City, Kansas. It was very fun despite being one of the smallest GWL's in the chain. They had 3 MAIN slides, the most popular being the 3 person Howling Wolf Howling Wolf: 10: it was really fast and went all over the inside and outside of the park ALberta Falls : (green) 8 : was mostly outdoors and had OMFG airtime (blue) 4: was slow and pretty uneventful Overall the room was fun, the indoor waterpark was great and we had pretty good time. Onto the Pictures I leave you with a pic of the OMFG Airtime! Green Alberta Falls Slide small outdoor part of Howling Wolf @ the Sharper Image yup Country Club Plaza in Kansas City Big Fish (not the movie) Aquarium @ Camelas lots of targets This was pretty cool At least these guys are safe Bad Diego BAD!!! Cabelas has ummm...everything Cabelas had Coyotes Cabelas had Planes This pic reminds us that we are in a store DONT LOOK DOWN! Nature Mountain or something or other Moose It was right across the street from GWL Its cool to see something that started in sydney NE grow to something like this this one girl slipped and hit her head when it came down so it closed the rest of the day a blurry shot of HW and AF Wolfs......at the Great WOLF Lodge Lobby Themed Fireplaces Rule It does look nice though Clock Tower that played this really anoyying song at the most inconvienient times of the day My attempt at the Eagle Scout Rock Wall. These things should NOT be in a waterpark! Hidden Wolf???? The ultra fun (but less popular) TIki ToWeR slides were extremely forceful and a lot of fun My lil Bro on the death traps Howling Wolf, the 3 person main attraction, had a really cool themed splash down Waterpark Time: Yellow is the Howling Wolf and Blue is the ALberta Falls The coolest part about our room ***Minigolf Construction shot*** Our Room, on the Third Floor The building was themed very nicely After only a 2.5 hour drive, we made it to GWL
coastrfreak2000
Cabela's looks almost exactly like Bass Pro Shops...do you guys have those in the US?
griffon
It's the "sinkers and floaters" event from MXC! That's awesome, except it shouldn't have the rope bars above the pool. I've never been to one of these places, but it looks like a lot of fun. sweetness
LOVE SFKK
^ They have a HUGE one in Williamsburg if you ever get to go. They recently got the worlds first enclosed Premier Funnel water slide.
griffon
^ yea I go by the one in Williamsburg all the time, it looks really cool too. I didn't realize they were different sizes, the only other one I have seen is in Sandusky, and it looks about the same as Williamsburg's although I've never paid that much attention. I enjoyed your photos though.
CP_RULES
Cabela's looks almost exactly like Bass Pro Shops...do you guys have those in the US? Yes we do, and you're right. EDIT- I actually think the BPS headquarters is right here in Springfield, Missouri. Its the largest BPS you have ever seen, its really cool! OzCatter
Yep, the one in Springfield is next to the original(now an outlet store for the brand), and is the biggest until either this fall, winter, or next spring when the Independence/Kansas City location opens, the one in Olathe is a lot smaller but already open. Jeeze, It's weird seeing other peoples perspectives on my neck of the woods, we go to the Plaza quite a bit.
Swoosh
Few comments -- 1. GWL is in Village West, which is in KANSAS not MISSOURI. 2. SDC has been open since the first part of March, so this is NOT the funniest thing to do in MISSOURI right now until the 9th (BTW WoF opens on the 7th) 3. Where are the construction photos of Schlitterbahn, which is being built right across 435 from GWL?
OzCatter
Jeeze Dustjin, lay off em, he's an out of towner. Plus you got the road wrong, it's off of
LOVE SFKK
^ I had no clue that schlitterban was building in KC. I would have taken loads of pics if I knew. I know its in Kansas, but I thought If i said kansas, half my comments would be....KC is in MO, not KS. Sorry, I thought it opened on the 9th
Jive
Schlitterbahn will be just a few blocks away from the GWL. They haven't done much except tear down old buildings. Construction has progressed much at all since last fall.
OzCatter
The funny part, you are right and wrong. Kansas City Missouri, and Kansas City Kansas, you were in the Kansas one.
