Angry_Gumball Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 Putting aside my Spy Vs Spy coaster, I was toying with a rocket coaster...with a vertical launch. Basically, it's the child of a Eurofighter and a Rocket. Enough talk, here's some screens. Coming into the first overbank. Brake Run Creeping up to the launch section. Blast-Off! The top of the main drop after being blasted up. Provides some nice air. Coming out of the first Overbank.
riccoaster Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 Wow that coaster looks awsome!, i'am still alittle new with NL how do you make all those coasters be together?
Vekoma Fan Boy Posted March 30, 2007 Posted March 30, 2007 Wow that coaster looks awsome!, i'am still alittle new with NL how do you make all those coasters be together? Those are not really costers, he made them separately, then converted them to 3DS to put in with this track.
ComplexAudio99 Posted March 30, 2007 Posted March 30, 2007 I've known about converting the tracks into 3D files for a long time, but have never figured out how to do it. Any tips or suggestions? Oh, and the coaster looks good so far, really different, but in a good way. I can't wait to see how it turns out.
Vekoma Fan Boy Posted March 30, 2007 Posted March 30, 2007 You need the gravemetric studios construction kit which, unfortuately is no longer avalable.
Angry_Gumball Posted March 31, 2007 Author Posted March 31, 2007 Well, I was going to finish supporting this coaster when I got home but to my surprise, my computer with NL on it, and the track most importantly, won't even power on. Was hoping to have this finished this weekend before I start my spring quarter with school... EDIT...this has gotten worse...what turned out to be a faulty power supply escalated to a bad motherboard after 6 months of use and hard drives gone dead....luckily, I was able to back up some of my pictures and tracks. Not a good weekend....
Angry_Gumball Posted April 13, 2007 Author Posted April 13, 2007 Sorry for the double post. I just FRAPS'd an onride of the coaster for the time being. Still got to finish supporting it. And I removed the 3ds coasters as 1: they slowed down the editor and sim, and 2: They were just for show in the screenshots. The POV can be found here.
Blazen_AZN Posted April 13, 2007 Posted April 13, 2007 I think it'd be cooler if it just took the train to the launch spike slowly and stopped for a few seconds, then launched. The way you have it now there's no real anticipation for a launch because the first one is so weak, and you never give any time for riders to anticipate a lunch for the main one. I guess it's not my caoster so i should just shut up. Other than that, it looks pretty good. It looks a tad drawn out but i'll hold judgment until i can ride it in sumilator. Also: I'd change the train color just to give them some more pop. Sorry about being a bitch.
