I am going in July to Vegas, my uncle is paying for the ticket and he is sharing his room. I won't have a car, and I have 4 days to spend there, I think I may go to the Adventure Dome, but besides that that is probably all close to theme parks I may hit. I plan on trying to save up 600 (300 for food, 150 for casinos, and 150 for whatever) so what kind of fun that is realtivly cheap can I do? I am staying at the hotel that has jousting, if that helps, forgot the name. I also plan on just staying at the hotel a day.

can't do tip #1, my uncle is paying for it so it isn't my choice.

so far, my plan is to

1. Go down to see the dancing fountains when they go on, it is one mile from my hotel.

2. Go to hoover dam to get the dam tour and maybe ask some dam questions

3. Play around in the hotel's renovated pool.

That is two days max, I wanted to go to the old strip to the covered portion and watch it, but it is a drive from where i am staying and a longer walk. Do other hotels allow poeple from other hotels to swim in thier pool? I saw a nice pool complex down the road? and if so, I bet there is a charge, am I right? The hotel I saw was madalay bay that had the nice pool complex.

many of the hotels with nicer pools ask to see your room key card when entering (I know it is that way at the Hard Rock) but some will let you in for a fee.

I enjoy the Fremont Street Experience in old Vegas, but you can not walk there, way too far. You might consider a cab.

so when was the last time you were at the stratosphere, If I was to goto the stratosphere, it would be a miracle for me to ride the high roller. It closed at the end of last year.

Personally I think you should go to the Stratosphere when you get there. The rides at the top are amazing! Well not so much "Insanity" But Bigshot and X-Scream are great! And make sure to buy your onride photos because they are well worth it! Other than that just have a good time and stay safe OH and try not to carry to much cash on you just to be safe

Tip #1: Check out of Excalibur immediately and stay at a nicer hotel.

What are you talking about? Excalibur is my favorite hotel on the Strip! I enjoy it more than others because it is family oriented.

Whatever you do, don't ride Manhattan Express. Why?

1. Expensive. It cost's $12.50 just to ride once.

2. Unreliable. It breaks down tons of times in one day, and when it's down, it's down for a long time.

3. Long walk to get to it. Through the casino, through the unusually long arcade, through the long queue line.

4. It's a Togo Ride. I don't even have to explain this.

But I highly recommend the Stratosphere rides. Big Shot is a great thrill if you like Shot n Drops. Insanity is quite scary as you spin OVER THE EDGE of the tower 900 feet in the air. I'm too scared for X Scream so you're on your own.

Long story short: Do the Stratosphere rides, STAY AWAY FROM MANHATTAN EXPRESS!
