qphayes Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 Some of you may remember them from their big hits in the 80s "Chains of Love" and "A Little Respect." I just wanted to pass this info out to those interested. Erasure have a new single coming out, "I Could Fall In Love With You" which will be released in the UK on April 2nd and the US on April 3rd. A clip can be heard via their myspace site. The new album "Light at the end of the world" will be released on May 21st in the UK, and the 22nsd of May in the US. They will also be touring in June with Cyndi Lauper, Debbie Harry, The Dresden Dolls and The Gossip (amongst others) on the True Colors festival in North American and Canada to support the Human Rights Campaign.
BarryH Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 I usually have "A Little Respect" song stuck in my head.
BiCoastal Kid Posted March 24, 2007 Posted March 24, 2007 Quinessential 80's music. Does it get any better? Yes.
Fallen Heretic Posted March 24, 2007 Posted March 24, 2007 80s electropop always seems to take me back to the school discos. That and Agadoo. lol.
robbalvey Posted March 24, 2007 Posted March 24, 2007 OMG! I have not thought about Agadoo in a long, long time!
qphayes Posted March 25, 2007 Author Posted March 25, 2007 OMG! I have not thought about Agadoo in a long, long time! Hmm, I don't remember them, I will have to look them up! By the name, I am suspecting major cheese factor?
Fallen Heretic Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 Agadoo is the song. Its by Black Lace. And yes, cheesy, amusing, kids party songs are the order of the day with them. Their songs were regulars at the school discos. lol. Yet, somehow, once its in your head, it never really leaves.
jynx242 Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 The new song is great - as is most of their stuff. I think I'll have an 80's techno-pop ride home from work today. I have an Erasure CD in the car (Pet Shop Boy's also.) Think I'll go tease my hair up now. David
Fallen Heretic Posted March 30, 2007 Posted March 30, 2007 Rather oddly, right now Im watching Scrubs and they are singing an Erasure song in the operating theater. lol
