TR: SFOG March 10th

I unfortunately slept in until 9:15, didn't get to the park until about 10:30. Processed my Dad's season pass and proceeded to Goliath. The line was at the bottom of the stairs (longest I saw all day). Rode once in the second to last row. Went over to Batman... HORRIBLE operations. Very short line but one train? I waited for the first row, probably waited for a good 25-30 minutes my longest wait of the day. Talked to a couple coaster fanatics. Batman was awesome as usual.

 

After Batman I headed over to Mindbender which for some reason my brother didnt want to ride because it was built so long ago... One train... glad I got in line when I did. Went to the back row and apparently saw Coreyml waiting for the second row to the back but you can read his trip report to hear about all that. Great ride.

 

Headed over to Superman which had a very short line started at the bottom of the stairs. We got into the station and one of the trains was having problems locking/lifting im not sure but after about 10 minutes it was working again. The next like 3 trains including the one I was on had issues with locking mechanisms. But Superman still provided an amazing ride. Only rode it once today however because when I came back to ride again it was closed.

 

Next my brother and I hit up the Ninja. If anyone wanted to do power riding especially on Ninja today was the day. Rode in the second to last car and didnt get hurt! I rode it 2 times total.

 

Headed over to Acrophobia where once again I rode alone because secretly my dad and brother were afraid. I LOVE THIS RIDE. I can't have to much acrophobia. The brakes suck hardcore but it is completely worth it. My impersonation of me on this ride is *screams like a girl* *yelps like a sick puppy in pain* *gets back in line*. I only went on it three times however cause what fun is riding by yourself right?

 

Rode the Psyclone second car front row, no line. Lady that got off of the train before me lost it. "get me outta here im never doing this again" so on and so on. I survived psyclone and kinda had fun doing it.

 

Georgia Scorcher... where to begin. On my way to re-ride Goliath I notice no line at all for Georgia Scorcher. Get inline for the first row. Someone throws up, they shut the ride down get everyone off the trains. Probably took them like 20 minutes to clean it up. During the "downtime" had quite an interesting experience with one of the guys in the line. This guy walks in and just starts going on about how he paid so much money to get into the park bla bla bla then somehow it got to him addressing everyone in the station. And we sang happy birthday to his daughter... I laughed really hard. Finally got on scorcher and had two great rides.

 

Went back to Goliath and rode in the 4th row the 2nd to last row and the last row. Went on one last run on Ninja then it was time to go home.

 

Only complaint of the day one train operations on Batman, Mindbender...

No Vu, Superman issues

 

I hope everyone had fun and to anyone who didnt go hopefully you will have as an enjoyable time as I did. I leave you all with a question. Where is Ninja's second train hiding... does it only have one and im crazy or is hiding under the station where i couldnt see it.

Nice to hear SF is keeping there word about running all trains on the coasters , they said the same thing last year and of course lied about that too.

Got there bout 915. Processed the pass which was relatively painless. Got the parking pass. Waited on the "party" to end to run away from the crowd - to cyclone.

After the lecture, cyclone wasnt running so we waited to go up the hill to achro. First ride and 2nd ride of the year went to us but no rotation.

GASM 3X - 2 in the back and 1 in front

Superman in the front row - 10 min wait, shoulda been 4

Goliath 2X, back row then front for my 250th. I missed my baby

MB - 1 TRAIN ugh. Park operators, mindbender with 1 train operation should never happen. the ride is too long and the lift is slow for 1 train! The ride doesnt stack. Dont we have a 3rd train somewhere too?

the 2nd to last seat was chosen by me. sat down and before they locked us in, some guy came up and said there was blood on the railing in front of my sister. Naturally we got up but they didnt clean it. why you ask? because they didnt have any chemicals to clean it up. 4 trains went by and we still didnt move we asked the people in the row behind us to let us ride, please. They agreed and we let the father/son from orlando go because they were fed up - theyre spoiled. I, then, rode by myself in the seat beside the blood b/c i was tired of waiting and they STILL hadnt cleaned it up!!! Even the Ambulance van thing came to the MB and nothing was done.

Went to Batman where 1 train operations were going on until i got outa line and they added another train, figures. I didnt go back b/c we were hungry. I waited for Joe to get off MB to talk then started to leave and the row was STILL empty.

1 ride on the cyclone, i loved it! apparently if you have boobs, its not a fun ride.

If they're gonna retrack 200' of the ride, why not do the whole thing?

 

Scorcher was perty but i think the color is TOO yellow. It needs some orange in the color.

If I had a job there, Id wanna be a hillbilly. they looked like they had fun - hangin round that hot female hillbilly.

The quartet is good but they sang to people that didnt wanna get sung to. they remind me of "I hate to tell you this mr Dubanny...SO ILL LET THESE GUYS TELL YOU. You have Aids" - on fam guy

I hate, i hate, I HATE, the change of the onride photos for Goliath. Its SFMM's in the background of the pic. All I want changed is OUR ride in the background but the "goliath" on the bottom can stay, thats pretty cool.

^ I think I met you after the whole Mindbender ordeal, I was the guy who was with Joe.

 

As far as I saw when I got off Mindbender they were just letting one person ride at a time in that row, which is stupid because it would only take a second to clean up. One time I was next in line for Storm Runner and the same thing happened, except 1) the blood wasn't old enough to be dried out like it was on Mindbender and 2) they wouldn't run the train until they cleaned it up, which took about 5 minutes. ...but then again, that wasn't Six Flags

 

 

I had never been to SFOG before, I just moved up to the area for college so that was my first visit to the park. All in all I think they did a decent job of running everything, except for Mindbender. They put a second train on Batman and they had two trains running on all of the other B&M's in the park, although when we rode Superman they stacked the hell out of those two trains when there wasn't really a good reason for doing so. I also got to miss Deja Vu for the first time in what I can assume will become a long trend of misses before I can finally get that credit, but it was still a pretty solid day seeing as I got on all of the coasters except one. Oh, and when I went to get my kiddie credit on Canyon Blaster they would only let people ride in the first three cars because they were afraid it wouldn't complete the course or something.
