jedimaster1227 Posted January 29, 2007 Author Posted January 29, 2007 This is getting scary...I have been at Seaworld, Epcot and now Magic Kingdom at the same time as you... Its pretty cool that I have actually met both you and Leanne though. Hopefully the next time we happen to be at the same park, we actually see each other, rather than finding out the day after...
Chrissie Posted January 29, 2007 Posted January 29, 2007 Im soooooooooooooo jealous Im not there.... But then kinda glad because I hated having to work until the early hours of the morning! Â Chrissie "Cleaning Frontier Hotdog at 3am sucks" Stevenson
jedimaster1227 Posted January 30, 2007 Author Posted January 30, 2007 Here are the last of my scans from the Pirate and Princess Party this year. Here are the many shows going on during the event. Here is the map show in the guide. Here is the front and back of the map/guide... The treasure-tote bag and admission wrist band. The cast members would actually do sweeps of the park to make sure all guests were wearing wrists bands. The back of the ad... The front of the ad...
mxman005 Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 Im planning on going next Monday. Should be pretty interesting. Good TR. Cant wait for a video.
Jew Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 ^The fireworks were done in part by Steve Davidson, but the music and storyline were worked on (in part) by this other imagineer. Â Does he still work there? I have some friends who work in that department at WDI...but I don't think it's that cool. I'll ask them about that guy next time I talk to them.
jedimaster1227 Posted January 30, 2007 Author Posted January 30, 2007 ^He still works there. He mainly designs shows and music for shows, with some of his most known work at the Adventurers Club. Â I thought the fireworks show was pretty well done, while the storyline didn't appeal to me as much as Illuminations, the show choreography and pyrotechnics were pretty incredible.
jedimaster1227 Posted January 30, 2007 Author Posted January 30, 2007 I have uploaded the videos from the event and they can all be viewed here.
Jew Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 My friend couldn't find him in the e-mail directory. He really wanted to tell him that some random dude is name-dropping him online too! Â On a somewhat related note, the event seems cool. "Special Events"=easy money for parks.
jedimaster1227 Posted January 30, 2007 Author Posted January 30, 2007 ^Name dropping, not so much considering that I didn't say that he told me anything. In fact, he had nothing to tell as I didn't ask him anything as his son asked me not to. All I said was that I knew him and that his son is my friend. Nothing more, nothing less. Â As for the event, I couldn't really see how Disney wouldn't make a ton of money on it, considering it is combining two of its most popular themes and allowing kids to dress up like them.
BarryH Posted February 4, 2007 Posted February 4, 2007 Because of these great PTRs on the event, I'm planning on going on 3/8. I need some more raisins!
Satoshi Posted February 4, 2007 Posted February 4, 2007 ^ i'm glad to know you're planning to go there! Â hopefully it would be a great memory to ya!
jedimaster1227 Posted February 4, 2007 Author Posted February 4, 2007 Because of these great PTRs on the event, I'm planning on going on 3/8. I need some more raisins! Â That is probably a smarter move as students like myself with parents that are more strict about school nights can only go on the Fridays. If you go on Thursday the 8th, you will only have to deal with the tourists and two minutes waits rather than tourists, locals and 3 minute waits. I look forward to seeing your update (if you make one). Barry, I still have to meet you sometime, as that would make it three resident TPR members that I have met.
BarryH Posted February 4, 2007 Posted February 4, 2007 ^You can meet me and my camera on the Japan trip if you go!
jedimaster1227 Posted February 4, 2007 Author Posted February 4, 2007 ^I can't do the Japan trip this year as I don't have enough money. Any chance you are going on the Mainland Europe trip in 2008?
BarryH Posted February 4, 2007 Posted February 4, 2007 ^I don't know what I'm doing in 2008. Â I'll probably visit Disney again when Toy Story Mania opens.
jedimaster1227 Posted February 4, 2007 Author Posted February 4, 2007 ^I don't know what I'm doing in 2008. I'll probably visit Disney again when Toy Story Mania opens.  If you do the passholder previews then I will also be there. Just tell me when you plan on going and I will drop in for a visit.
flyingspin Posted February 4, 2007 Posted February 4, 2007 That Jack Sparrow sure looks like Freddie Mercury... and I just read somewhere that Johnny Depp is considering playing Mercury in a bio-pic.
jedimaster1227 Posted February 5, 2007 Author Posted February 5, 2007 That Jack Sparrow sure looks like Freddie Mercury... and I just read somewhere that Johnny Depp is considering playing Mercury in a bio-pic. Â Um... What does someone say to that somewhat random comment? Â (I don't mean that offensively, just wondering...)
Hattuchili Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 Hey man, nice pictures. Now I am really looking forward to my P&P Party this week!
jedimaster1227 Posted February 5, 2007 Author Posted February 5, 2007 ^Thank you very much! I am glad that you liked the TR. I am sure you will enjoy the event, as Stephanie and I did so much that we are both taking seperate groups to the event.
