FlyingScooter Posted January 8, 2007 Posted January 8, 2007 I think any reason to bash ohio politics is a good reason for a thread.
Masked_Maverick Posted January 8, 2007 Posted January 8, 2007 Here is the biggest point of B.S. with not only the minimum wge increase bit also the over time. Most postions at ohio parks are seasonal which is why they can get away with not raising pay or paying over time. I personally think that's complete crap but thats how it is.
RCFreak Posted January 10, 2007 Posted January 10, 2007 Only worked at Cedar point, so I have no clue about the other parks and how much they pay, but CP paid $6.25/hr plus $1 for every hour you worked if you completed your contract with them. So you basically make $7.25 an hour which is what they pay their "year round" employees at Castaway Bay, since the don't do a bonus incentive program. That seems mighty generous for a company that only legally has to pay $5.15 (of course I feel it's still below what they should be paying, but that's for another thread) As for the whole exclusion thing, it sucks that people are getting excluded, but the simple solution would be to obviously not work in those fields if you were trying to make a living from only working that one job.
Satoshi Posted January 10, 2007 Posted January 10, 2007 good thing the minimum wages in Ohio are going to raise up nearly 2 bucks since the method would make lots of workers happy and also make the life better than now. speaking of the wages, i've started to realize the wages in Ohio is really higher than my dad's wages..... that's kinda good thing for the playparks' workers too.
