FlyingScooter Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 From what i heard on the radio this morning, the shooter held a 20 year grudge and decided to waste a school. Reports indicated that he, a father of 3 daughters, walked his kids to bus stop and then hit the Amish school. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20061003/ap_on_re_us/amish_school_shooting http://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory?id=2522257 I wonder if Michael Moore's gonna do something on this? Is there anything more defenseless than an Amish Female?
Calvin Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 An Amish school shooting? BANG! "Wait...gotta reload...doo doo doo..." *drops powder horn* "Darn! Just hold still, kay?"
ECZenith Posted October 4, 2006 Posted October 4, 2006 I agree... it's a whole new low. To quote Halloween Horror Nights XI's Scary Tales, "It's a cruel cruel world..."
coastercam4554 Posted October 5, 2006 Posted October 5, 2006 Oh yea, I saw that on the news the other morning. I felt pretty bad.
jamesdillaman Posted October 5, 2006 Posted October 5, 2006 What's even more sad is all the f%#$ing news coverage. They showed the mennonites burying the dead from a helicopter hovering over the amish graveyard. LET THEM GREAVE IN PEACE!! -James Dillaman
Ccron10 Posted October 6, 2006 Posted October 6, 2006 I agree, I live at least 25 to 30 miles from the site and the news around this area is non-stop coverage. I see Amish constantly in my life and they don't bother us at all (I'm even have a little Pa Dutch in my blood) and I feel sorry for them. Last night on fox news I've heard about there were a few people protesting against the Amish having funerals for the childern who died. I don't know about you but that has to be the most idiotic thing I've ever heard! Amish are people just like us!! That just my $0.02, anybody agree or disagree?
pete4winds Posted October 6, 2006 Posted October 6, 2006 Last night on fox news I've heard about there were a few people protesting against the Amish having funerals for the childern who died. Sorta, but not quite. They WERE planning on protesting funerals, but were convinced (more accurately, they were offered, and they accepted, a substantial sum of cash) by a local radio DJ to cancel the protests, which they did cancel. The actual reasons were that, according to Westboro Baptist Church headquarters, the girls were "killed by a madman in punishment for PA Gov. Ed Rendell's blasphemous sins against Westboro Baptist Church." They further went on to say "Gov. Ed Rendell, speaking and acting in his official capacity to bind the State of Pennsylvania (Pete's edit: Officially PA is not referred to as a state, but is one of four Commonwealths in the U.S.), slandered and mocked and ridiculed and condemned Westboro Baptist Church on national Fox TV. Rendell also revealed a conspiracy to employ the State's police powers to destroy WBC in order to silence WBC's Gospel message. Co-conspirators identified by Rendell included state officials, citizens, lawyers, legislators and media." To my knowledge, they did not cite specific examples. At least not that I've seen, heard, or read anywhere in any of the major news outlets, although I could've missed it in earlier reports.
Satoshi Posted October 7, 2006 Posted October 7, 2006 what makes the US and Canada happen this like serious shooting crime this year? this year feels different than a year ago looks there were not any shooting in both place. this made me real sick!
Zen Coaster Posted October 7, 2006 Posted October 7, 2006 Absolutely disgraceful. Out of all the places to do it, this would have to be about the most disruptive. Ok, so they're human just like us but they're so harmless.
Twister II Posted October 7, 2006 Posted October 7, 2006 Here it is non-stop coverage of the Platte Canyon shooting/molesting, sometimes it's hard to even think about. Although I may live 4 hours from Platte, I live just 30 minutes from Columbine High. What is it about Colorado and school shootings?!
FlyingScooter Posted October 7, 2006 Author Posted October 7, 2006 WestBoro Baptist is a trip. They are fanatics. I will not put their website on this, but do a search: Westboro baptist and check out what ww w listing they have. They seem to hate everything and everyone that is not them. They also seem to be well funded. If you do go to their website, think twice about emailing them comments, they might wind up on your doorstep.
ketchupman Posted October 7, 2006 Posted October 7, 2006 just yesterday a kid brought a fake gun to my school and got arrested on the spot i was like r u out of your mind
Vigilante Posted October 7, 2006 Posted October 7, 2006 Honestly, I think this is the beginning of the world. Look at all the major events in the past century. The events in the past 100 years have changed lives more than the events that occured in the 8,000 years of recorded human existence. Frankly, it all started when the extra terrestials(sp?) came to help build the pyramids.
the sound Posted October 8, 2006 Posted October 8, 2006 Oh yea, I saw that on the news the other morning. I felt pretty bad. Lol, when i first read this, it made me feel like you had done it. The coverage in Australia isn't as big as the school shooting in Montreal was, but it was still pretty covered by ABC* when it happened. *=Not the american chanel. The AUstralian one.
