ParkTrips Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 Everything was paid for, so I went... and left in the 5th. Pedro looked like crap and got rocked hard, and while driving home, so did Darren Oliver. Meh. On to the slightly less boring stuff. jewey sucks! ok, end TR... wow was that a baseball game? Did anyone see an actual baseball? hah any kid who wears a TO jersey today is my hero Here comes Oliver after Pedro got rocked.. I guess Oliver didn't want Pedro to be the only one with an inflated ERA tonight as he did the same Hey Elissa, remember when I was talking to you and said "oh s***!".. well.. that's why.. the fireworks startled me This is my apathetic face if I ever had one... .. but I walked around because I was bored out of my mind. This was my view of the game (OK so we were a little lower..) Ha-ha not this year! Pasta in an airconditioned corridor with leather seats.. this is no longer a baseball game, its a dining experience. Freshly grilled pasta? YES. OK, what shall I eat? A hot dog? No... OK this is my style of baseball! Yeah, that's what I'm talkin' about *insert joke* Just saying HI! to all my fans out there.. Yea, my car is there... 100 feet from the gate, I rock it hard VIP-style .. and a REALLY big Coke bottle with a random basepath Wooo Coke bottles Yes the Braves are a Coke team (shocking!) The Dippin Dots guy wasn't around to tell me who the Braves were gonna sign next year... =( A-town ok, so that one is pretty cool Why pay tribute to the worst stadium ever? Hey look, its Oktoberfest HERE too yup, back at "The Ted"
Meteornotes Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 Cool report. We went to our last Orioles game of the season last week. They lose every year, but we still have a good time going to the games. Like your place, they have all sorts of interesting food in the Club Level, including steamed shrimp and crab cakes! Half the fun of going to the game is eating... dt
mcjaco Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 Fulton County Stadium was the worst? You should of gone to County Stadium in Milwaukee...AKA Third World Stadium, it was the pits. No bratwurst made that trip worth it. Why did the Braves have to give the division to the Mets....anyone but another NY team....
tacoking Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 At least the Braves aren't 30 games under .500, have a closer that can't do anything anymore, have a starting rotation full of undeveloped rookies, and have a manager that just can't seem to do anything right. And obviously there are more problems with the Cubs...just too many to name.
CoasterFanatic Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 The Dippin Dots guy wasn't around to tell me who the Braves were gonna sign next year... =( You owe me a keyboard.

And obviously there are more problems with the Cubs...just too many to name. I really hope you aren't expecting me to argue that. You're just mad that like his usual idiot self, Hendry will sign Girardi and a bunch of mid tier free agents to give the casualt Cub fan hope......100 years and counting....
tacoking Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 Casual Cubs fan? I am a casual Cubs fan? May not have the chance to get season tickets (as I live in Florida) but I am more than your casual Cubs fan.
ParkTrips Posted September 28, 2006 Author Posted September 28, 2006 ^I can attest to that. Fulton County Stadium was the worst? You should of gone to County Stadium in Milwaukee...AKA Third World Stadium, it was the pits. No bratwurst made that trip worth it. OK you might have found the single stadium worse than Fulton County / 3Rivers / The Vet. No problem Ted.
mcjaco Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 ^^ Sorry, I wasn't accusing you as being a casual Cubs fan. I meant the typical casual Cubs fan. Trust me, I've been watching in misery for 31 years. It's one of the most backwards run organizations out there, starting at the top. Dusty should get fired??? Pahleeze, this is just as much Hendry and McFail's problem too. Word here is that if A-Ram goes, they're gonna blow up the whole thing and restart....100 years of rebuilding, WOOHOO!
CoasterEricHP Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 Nice! Turner Field looks like a good park to watch a game in. I'm an Orioles fan too.. yeah.. WE SUCK! In fact.. the Orioles have the most consecutive losing seasons.. the only team with more is the Pirates! Next year though.. since the O's have some more cash to throw around at players that will go.. "No way in hell I'm going to Baltimore!" and then we'll end up with more overpaid crappy players. Speaking of the Pirates.. I worked as an usher at PNC Park this spring before I moved to Florida. PNC is an AMAZING park. I miss it. Oriole Park is starting to show its age and needs to be updated really bad with new video screens and scoreboards. The little light bulbs aren't cool anymore
CoasterFanatic Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 OK you might have found the single stadium worse than Fulton County / 3Rivers / The Vet. The Vet will always trump it's 3 Rivers twin when being considered for the worst stadium. It was like 3 Rivers with rats! How bad do your fans have to be when you need a frickin jail in the bowels of your stadium.
tacoking Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 May not have been around for the last 31 years, but I understand all of what the organization has been through. Yeah it isn't all Bakers fault (lots of blame goes on the players inability to do the fundamentals), but I just think he's done with us. As I said earlier, pretty much nothing he does goes as planned and turns out to costing us (many times going back to the fundamentals thing). I expect to see a busy offseason for these Cubbies. I really hope Ramirez doesn't go anywhere. Fantastic player.
Hercules Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 A few things.... Joe - Try going to Shea. You will truly understand suck. Taco - True Cubs fan. All about it. Me - Mets might get knocked out in the first round. Pedro better by a new body with all of that money, and fast.
tacoking Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 Shea is that bad, eh? Haven't heard much about it in terms of the quality of it.
mcjaco Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 Shea ain't that great, and was really unimpressed with Yankee Stadium as well. Turner Field is on my list of parks to get too, just not too high up.
tacoking Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 I've been to Wrigley a few times, and what a fantastic place. Also went to Pro Player Stadium (no idea if it's still called that) where the Marlins play (although it was for a Miami Dolphins game way back when) and thought it was ok. Nothing special.
