CP_RULES Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 *PLEASE NOTE- This coaster was made using NL1.6 and IMPROVED TRACK FRICTION. Riding with NL1.5 may provide for different and unintended riding conditions.* Named after a midievil war catapult, Trebuchet is a wild GCI twister that packs some nice forces in its relatively short ride. The ride includes many highly banked turns (only ONE 90* turn) and tight airtime hills. Strap yourself in and hold on as Trebuchet catapults you down its signature s-curve drop into many fun and disorienting elements. Stats- Top Speed- 52mph (achieved at three different times) Height- 126feet Length- 2994feet Maximum banking- 90* (one turn) Trains- 2 Cars per train- 8 Fearues- S-curve first drop (Yes, I did make this after Renegade was announced and yes this ride was influenced by it.) Airtime A 90* banked turn Horseshoe turnaround (for lack of an actual name) Tests- E-stop- Passes Tunnel- Passes ^Overview #1. ^Horseshoe turnaround. ^Overview #2. ^The 90* turn. ^The s-curve first drop. ^Another view of the turnaround. *PLEASE RATE AT COASTERSIMS.COM* Trebuchet.nltrack *PLEASE RATE AT COASTERSIMS.COM*
CP_RULES Posted October 3, 2006 Author Posted October 3, 2006 This just in! Trebuchet is the proud owner of my first ever medal at Coastersims.com! And better yet, I started out with a bang: ITS GOLD!!! WOO HOO!! Im so proud!
Golfie Posted October 7, 2006 Posted October 7, 2006 Wow! Congrats! I'll check it out on my laptop when I go on it. By the looks of the screenshots, you have the whole millenium flyer deal packed down! I've attempted two of them; they both suck. BTW, the coaster looks AMAZING!
coasterdude5 Posted October 8, 2006 Posted October 8, 2006 Incredible, really, usually, I only ride a coaster once... I rode this one three times!
NitroRider Posted October 8, 2006 Posted October 8, 2006 AWESOME! Me this ride! THey should build it in a real park!
CP_RULES Posted October 16, 2006 Author Posted October 16, 2006 I finally have come around to making a video for those sad suckers who dont have NL. Sorry for the odd effect when the camera moves quickly, it was a result of compression and was unintended. Please go here to view the video. Also, I'm really sorry for the low quality, but you should have NL! Hopefully you can still get the jist of it.
CP_RULES Posted October 16, 2006 Author Posted October 16, 2006 ^Only one turn is banked 90* and it is because it needs to be, not because of hype. The coaster was AHG-ed and does offer some slight laterals as I changed some variables to make it a little off. Though you are right, it probably could use more.
