I have a:

64MB DDR NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 420 card and RCT3 plays terribly. It takes about 2 hours to build a coaster since it freezes up so much!

Which one should I have so it will play better?

Well, you could always get one of these:

That's what I use but unfortunately, it still has it's unavoidable lags...NL runs smooth though. My computer specs are 1.8 ghz AMD Athlon XP 1800 processor, 624 megs of ram, 80 gig HDD and of course, that video card I linked...got that for $130 at my local electronics store. Hopefully, Soaked will not be a resource hog and run the game smoother.

I would aim for a Radeon 9800. Good value vs performance.

However we need to know your processor speed to know if it will help a lot. RCT3 is heavily CPU bound because of that AI of the people. I think I have an Athalon 2600 and it still will drop to around 5-6 fps with around 1000 people and a decent number of rides on screen.

The 9800 however runs the Half Life 2 demo perfectly on the same computer... I need to get HL2 at some point... Heck I need to get No Limits at some point...

I went w/ a GeForce mx4000 256 and have not had any problems w/any games yet. ( the old vid card was the biggest issue w/RCT3's locking up and such.)

Better vid cards are a good investment for you any 'puter.

if you want less problems, go with an ATI, considering that is what they built the game for, and some invidia cards have had some problems, other than that, your on your own
