thomas2 Posted July 31, 2006 Posted July 31, 2006 Warning: this park isn't supposed to be realistic. If you're easily offended by non-realistic parks, than turn back now! The year is 2002 in England. A small themepark located at a cliff offers visitors a thrill by the sea. The park opened in 1911 and still has a ride from those days: the wooden coaster 'switchback'. Over the years, the park was expanded with Wild Mouse and a ferris Wheel. The major expansion took place in 2001, when a B&M diving machine was placed, which had the fitting name Cliffdiver. Cliffdiver This is the Switchback from 1911 Wild Mouse
thefitness Posted July 31, 2006 Posted July 31, 2006 This park looks good and it will look great with more theming!
thomas2 Posted August 1, 2006 Author Posted August 1, 2006 Thanks for the kind comments! Here are some more screenshots. Theming improved and a new B&M coaster called "Hydra" was built along with a pirate ship Overview Hydra, a watersnake themed to water and the old roman empire Added some theming around the Wild Mouse
goleafsgo Posted August 1, 2006 Posted August 1, 2006 the park looks great, except i think those random abstract shapes all over the place just look really bad... and i think you need to theme hydra a bit more.
thomas2 Posted August 1, 2006 Author Posted August 1, 2006 ^Yes I think you are right. I added more theming to Hydra and removed some of the random placed, abstract shapes The abstract shapes are replaced with simple roofs, but the whole looks alot better than before. New overview Other view of the station. Watch out for the fountain! Improved station. Adding some water really adds alot more atmosphere to the station IMO
goleafsgo Posted August 1, 2006 Posted August 1, 2006 that looks much better. i like how you made the park be on the edge of a cliff, good idea.
Calaway Park Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 Are you using the UCES? It sure looks like it... Anyway, it looks pretty good!
thomas2 Posted August 2, 2006 Author Posted August 2, 2006 Are you using the UCES? It sure looks like it... What are the UCES?
goleafsgo Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 its a scenery pack kinda thing... http://www.rct2uces.com/credits.html ^that is a page with a bunch of custom scenery links... http://www.rct2uces.com/index2.html ^and that is a page where you download parks with custom scenery...
thomas2 Posted August 2, 2006 Author Posted August 2, 2006 Nope I didn't use UCES, just the plain scenery from the games. Update: alot more rides where added, along with some more theming. Due to the big popularity of Switchback, the ride got a 3th train. Switchback got a new train. Rest of the jungle coaster and Beach Tour, a carride Station of the jungle coaster Themed Pirate Ship Meteor Star even has a trick track View of 3 new coasters: Meteor Star, the mechanical Rust Hour and the kiddie Ancient Bugs. Station of the new invert Meteor Star
thomas2 Posted August 4, 2006 Author Posted August 4, 2006 The park built new rides for it's guests. The park is starting to get into financial problems, and these rides are a last attempt to try and attract more people. We'll have to wait wather they succeed. Other side of the dueling coaster Here's a dual powered coaster A new log flume is built under the 2 existing coasters
Super Looper Posted August 4, 2006 Posted August 4, 2006 Add some other tree. The fact that you have the same trees all over really brings the screens down. The blue invert's station is too boxy, but thats easily fixed with a few roof segments. THat whole area is too conjested, with the two coasters and the Log Flume. I'd delete the dueling coasters and do some serious terraforming there and built a kick ass log flume there instead.
thomas2 Posted August 6, 2006 Author Posted August 6, 2006 ^I'm trying to built as many rides as possible. Don't forget that this isn't a realistic park! I deleted the powered coaster and added some trees. A dual woodie replaced the powered coaster This is a new suspended coaster I built, along with a haunted house and Déjà Vu
thomas2 Posted August 7, 2006 Author Posted August 7, 2006 A giant new coaster called 'Squid Attack' has been built! It even dives right in the Colosseo! This coaster goes in and out the cliff side. The first drop is badass, as is the rest of the layout The funky station of Squid Attack, a B&M mega coaster
kennywood!007 Posted August 7, 2006 Posted August 7, 2006 Cool park! One thing I think you should add is maybe a waterfall interacting with Hydra some where. That would be awesome
thomas2 Posted August 7, 2006 Author Posted August 7, 2006 ^Yeah I know: but I forgot to select the water theming and I can't restart because Hydra is a custom coaster that I can't save with those tunnels. Dammit I hate that!
thomas2 Posted August 11, 2006 Author Posted August 11, 2006 Okay I worked on the park a bit, here are the screenshots Okay there are alot of coasters here... Rest of the flyer and launch track New B&M flyer, the blue station is that of a new B&M launched A inverted impulse was added Junior shuttle dueling coaster There are also alot of flat rides added Crazy shuttle coaster
thomas2 Posted August 12, 2006 Author Posted August 12, 2006 Okay so a wooden mouse has been built. It proves to be very popular!
