bgwfreak Posted July 23, 2006 Author Posted July 23, 2006 ^ Nah...he growled at me. You see how far I was when I took the picture. Thanks everyone for the comments. I'm still kind of new to the whole photo TR thing but it's been fun. Go away you silly English K-Nigets!
DerekRx Posted July 23, 2006 Posted July 23, 2006 Yeah the place was a dump the time I stopped there too, but at least the coaster was running. Paid my $5, rode it once, and left. The ride was pretty good, running brakeless. At the same time though, it ran brakeless....at Pedroland! I feared for my life. Oh and yes, I had to find an employee to run it for me. That was one of the best trips ever: Drive boss's wife to Baltimore in her car from Gainesville. Got random obscure coaster credit while she needed a smoke break, drove a Range Rover, got paid $500, and got flown home for free.
Jon Sabo Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 Damn, it's really hard not to comment on this pic. Umm...ok I won't, so .....insert sick joke here........... Hey Chuck? Maybe they should put this sign over by the BGE-games area. They certainly can use it.
BeemerBoy Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 ^ Funny, I was thinking it probably belongs next to a certain anatomically correct statue in New Jersey.
bgwfreak Posted July 24, 2006 Author Posted July 24, 2006 Because I know you've been waiting for them. Here are the full size versions I just uploaded in all their horrible glory. Oh the horror. http://community.webshots.com/album/552510621fdBXLG
jackskellington101 Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 Ah, South of the Border. The trappiest of tourist traps. Great TR. I do have some respect for it, even for how utterly stucktastic the place may be, at least it's still open. Well...sorta.
bgwfreak Posted July 27, 2006 Author Posted July 27, 2006 ^ Yeah Stuckey's... another one of those annoying touristy places. I haven't seen one in years, I guess they went out of business or at least down there. EDIT: Wow they even have a website! They still exist! www.stuckeys.com
Johnny Upsidedown Posted July 27, 2006 Posted July 27, 2006 Thanks for the great photos BGWFREAK. Saves me a trip out to the park seeing as it aint worth stopping in the town. I emailed the park last year and was told the coaster was down. Wonder how long its been closed.
bgwfreak Posted July 28, 2006 Author Posted July 28, 2006 ^ It's been down since 2002 I think. The current owner must have decided to just let the place go to pot and never do any upkeep.
ECZenith Posted July 28, 2006 Posted July 28, 2006 Wow! It looks JUST like Mexico! The bus stopped here for 15 minutes on the way home from boot camp to pick some people up. Even after 3 months of hard training and no coasters (or anything else fun for that matter) I was all set.
bgwfreak Posted July 28, 2006 Author Posted July 28, 2006 LOL Ok it's not THAT bad. I went to Mexico last year and THAT was pretty bad. The zoo down where we were was AWFUL.
