pvcoasterguy Posted June 25, 2006 Posted June 25, 2006 Why can't we just disregard that press release? Six Flags does own all of their properties- they can do what they want with them. So, any park, chain-wide, can have anything (or nothing) happen to it. Nothing has been confirmed, at all. The press release basically said, "Well, we're looking at options." Nothing more.
disneyfan1313 Posted June 25, 2006 Posted June 25, 2006 Sigh. Look - While I realize the thought and the heart is in the right place there are a few things that are an issue here.. 1) As many others have said they HAVE NOT ANNOUNCED THEY ARE SELLING THE PARK. They are *exploring* it which could mean many things. 2) Even if they had said that they selling it for sure - AN ONLINE PETITION WILL NOT STOP IT FROM HAPPENING! Seriously... it won't. What matters is the $$$. The only way to ensure it will always be there is to pony up the hundreds of millions it would take to buy it yourself and purchase it!
ParkTrips Posted June 25, 2006 Posted June 25, 2006 ^^ Actually, Six Flags does not own SF Over Texas nor SF Over Georgia, and have other binding agreements with SF Marine World and SF Kentucky Kingdom.
Jon Sabo Posted June 25, 2006 Posted June 25, 2006 Kumba9 and ECZenith, nice try guys. But it's a losing battle at this point, they're just not listening or reading. I agree. He and I will just get some popcorn and Donkey-flavored Lentil Soup and watch the "movie"..lol
BeemerBoy Posted June 25, 2006 Posted June 25, 2006 ^ It's posts like this that keep cluttering up what is a VERY useful and meaningful thread. If this is to continue, would you be kind enough to provide us a link to this supposed "movie" you speak of? Otherwise, I have no other option than to believe your subject matter is unfounded and therefore completely irrelevant. Thank you for your support in this matter. Scott " " B.
Wes Posted June 25, 2006 Posted June 25, 2006 What the f**k is a Moutain? You can't spell the name of the park you're trying to "save" correctly. Also, online petitions never work and the park doesn't need saving just yet. Any subsequent "petitions" will be locked.
