I'm visiting BGW for the first time next week and had a few questions. To provide a bit of background, I am visiting with a group on Monday, July 1 and we all have the standard Quick Queue passes (once through per attraction). We will be at the park from opening till about 5p. -Since Verbolten is included in the selection of rides with Quick Queue now, does it still make sense to head there first thing? -Are there any other attractions that tend to get an unbearable crowd in the afternoon that I should hit early? -What's the best place to grab food (we have the Platinum dining certificate, so I think it's valid on everything but ribs)? Thanks for the help!

Coasting for Kids 2013 - Be part of Team TPR!

Just signed up for Kings Dominion - looking forward to raising money for an incredible organization! Don't forget that you can volunteer with GKTW in Orlando (a great way to break up a vacation). You'll have a totally different perspective once you see the Village in person! www.firstgiving.com/fundraiser/BradM/KingsDominion2013 -
I will be visiting the Disneyland Resort for the first time since 2002 on Wednesday, May 1. I had a few questions that I hoped you guys could help me answer: 1) This will be my first trip to DCA - are there any special rides other than the headliners that I shouldn't miss? On my "must-ride list": -Radiator Racers -Toy Story Mania -California Screamin' -ToT -Little Mermaid (have not been on its counterpart at MK). -Soarin 2) What locations serve Dole Whip at DL and DCA? 3) What is the best place to catch World of Color that most GP wouldn't congregate to? 4) Is the Aladdin show at DCA similar in quality to Finding Nemo (AK) and the Beauty and the Beast (HS) productions at WDW? 5) Any other general tips are appreciated - we have a one-day park hopper pass. From all of the "crowd calculators", it seems like this is a solid week to go to maximize our time.

The Most EXTREME rides in the world!
Brad replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
This was one of the highlights from my trip to Argentina/Brazil back in 2007. Considering how close you get to the falls (and the deluge of water that constantly hits the boat), it's definitely extreme. (Note that this is a random video on youtube). -
TR: Six Flags over Georgia!

I think he was refering to GASM at SFGAdv living on at SFOG (the train on Ninja). -
Crowds can be relatively heavy during July. I always recommend getting a Flash Pass as it makes your day that much more enjoyable (even if the park isn't packed). Note that Dare Devil Dive will only be available on the Platinum Flash Pass, so you might want to head there first thing unless you get Platinum.

If you want to stay closer to the park, I would go with the Hilton Garden Inn one-exit past SFOG on I-20 (Thornton Road). hiltongardeninn.hilton.com/en/gi/hotels/index.jhtml?ctyhocn=ATLDLGI For September 16, they have a $76 rate right now. -

Here's my Top 10: Balder El Toro Boulder Dash Lightning Racer - L Lightning Racer - T Thunderhead Roar - SFDK The Boss (Haven't been on since 2004) GhostRider (Haven't been on since 2002) Wildcat (Hershey) -
^If you're already going to SFOT during the summer, just buy a season pass/play pass (currently $54.99 for a play plass) and then you can visit SFGAdv and SFNE free! That's less than $20 a park.

^ha, well we were referring to his post about the lapbars (on the previous page). I personally am excited to experience a beyond-vertical drop and inversions that are not standard loops with just a lapbar. Should be intense and the holding brake may be terrifying with no shoulder harness to lean against. 9-10 stories is still quite a drop.

I am needing some help deciding on which cruise to take in late April, early May, 2011. My situation is a bit odd as half of our group will be leaving from the East Coast and the other half from Anchorage, Alaska. Hence, we will be looking for a cruise leaving from either Los Angeles (and surrounding area) or San Diego. The two cruises that have peaked our interest are the following: - 7-night Mexico Cruise from Los Angeles on NCL Star - 7-night Mexico Cruise from Long Beach on Carnival Splendor I have been on 1 cruise prior (5-night Carnival Fantasy out of NOLA), so I am in no way an avid cruiser. My main concern with NCL is the "freedom" you have with dining. We are not wanting to pay extra for our meals (maybe a one-night splurge) while on the ship, so are the included evening dining options just buffets and burgers or are there actual dining rooms that offer a good menu? We are all younger (under 25), but do not necessarily fancy a "booze cruise". Any advice on which to choose? Are transfers easy from LAX to those two ports?

Busch Gardens Tampa Bay (BGT Discussion Thread)

I definitely don't see the Fahrenheit similarities, but it certainly reminds me of Maverick with the ground-hugging, quick turns and the short hills. But then again, I've never been on Furius Baco.
