  1. Stay away from the Santa Clarita Motel!! Again stay away from the Santa Clarita Motel. One of the worst places I have ever stayed at. My recommendation would be spend the extra $$ for the Hilton Garden Inn at the bottom of the hill. I stayed there for West Coast Bash this year and it was very nice. Jerry

    Oops?

Being I designed and printed them... The WCB4 badge was redesigned from a older one and the date was changed however it appears that I looked at the wrong month on the calendar. So no it was not intentional, and a big ooops I need to fire the 3 proof readers that looked at the design long before the event! Jerry
  3. Original link seems to be bad.. Being it was hosted on Google.de you can get it here.. http://video.google.de/videoplay?docid=-7472502197006303244 There are some other videos of this attraction there too Another link that has been posted http://www.engadget.com/2007/01/29/robotic-arm-rides-5-cents/ Jerry
  4. A while back I found a video on utube of what I believe to be the SCBB rock-o-plane. Can any one confirm it was shot at the boardwalk? IF your sensitive to spin rides you may want to avoid clicking! I have been known to pilot my tub in a similar fashion on one that traveled with a carnival. This show folded last year, so I will miss it. Jerry
  5. Another SFMM question, what hours is the season pass center have? And is it in the entrance plaza or where is it? Jerry
  6. Do they still have a Rock-o-plane? That is one ride that may get me to the boardwalk someday Jerry
  7. Orginally they had 3. They specify that 2 trains ran last night, so I suspect they are using the 2 remaining good trains. Jerry
  8. Local media reports Wild Thing will be re-opening today! http://www.startribune.com/462/story/466112.html Jerry
  9. Link to another newspaper article about Valleyfair. http://www.startribune.com/462/story/458721.html
  10. Screamin Swing is definatly one ride that actully has more bite than its bark! Having experenced Knots afew times during solace last year, I knew it would be a good ride for VF. First ride was surprising and more height and power than I was expecting. More importantly the GP seemed to eat it up! Opening day was on the cool side, sitting at the top of the skyscraper while the crew got the other side loaded was probley the coldest ride at the park. VF offered upgrades to season pass holders for Challenge Park activities from 10am to noon. One tier includes Skyscraper and Skycoaster the next includes mini golf, gokarts and bumper boats. They also put the parking on the season pass this year. Jerry
  11. Some of my FL State fair pictures can be found at: http://www.jerryd.net/flsf Jerry
  12. I have watched the operator move kids from the back car once a visit for the last several years. Probley if you look 18 or close to it, you probley will not be challenged. However I did see someone protest once and pulled out ID. Once Paul and everyone else left, it started to rain.. Whats more insane than Avalanche? Avalanche with a wet track! Even under these conditions one kid got his first ever ride on a coaster, he loved it and wanted to ride again! Dad was not so sure.. Timber Falls has a liberal re-ride policy.. allong the lines of if no one is in your row no problem. If someone is in your row then you can take a empty seat once the train is filled from the load side. I managed over 8 rides at time without getting out my seat. 20+ from 8-9:45 PM. Some kids claim they where on ride 14 that night with out leaving the station. Jerry
  13. The double rides are history.. THat ended when they decided to become a theme park last year. The re-ride policy is you must now walk and climb arround again! Jerry
