  1. Universal's go-to for the past 15 years. Put guests in a box, add screen, splash water, repeat. I called this "upgrade" the day it was announced. Verbatim, "Watch, this Jurassic World project is going to enclose the entire ride with screens and splash you a little more than they already did." Boom, eat me, Universal. If I wanted to watch videos all day I'd sit at home for free and watch YouTube. You understand that by enclosing a portion of the ride that also allows them to upkeep higher end AA figures, right? It's just just about screens.
  2. I legit dont care about the technical coaster nerd stuff. It's a big piece = significant in my eyes.
  3. significant = 1? cause that's all that's there right now. lol I count 4 new beams and another piece to tower two added in under 30 minutes. So yeah, it's a significant addition in the amount of time.
  4. They've added a significant amount of pieces since that photo. Looks like it'll be topped off soon.
  5. I think Bigfoot is safe. If anything, they could (and should) do a total revamp in the line of what they did with Mine and Log. Except instead of restoring it, they could plus it up the wazoo by adding a *real* backstory, show scenes, enclose portions of it. You know, make it good.
  6. I highly doubt the amount of teasing has any correlation with the overall scope or quality of the attraction. Each park has their own marketing team who chose to promote and tease things in their own different ways. From my understanding they have a few surprises planned if you are lucky enough to attend tomorrow night.
  7. It'll actually be between 8:00pm - 8:15 from my understanding. 8:00 pm park time or 8:00 pm EST? Knott's is on the west coast haha. It's 8PM pacific time. Haha. Why would anybody on the Knott's thread be talking about EST? Your guess is as good as mine.

  9. It'll actually be between 8:00pm - 8:15 from my understanding.
  10. Restraint checks. I've watched them through half a dozen cycles in one day and most of the time was spent doing that. On a slower day they'd have 1 employee (maybe 2) operating the entire ride.
  11. Only go through the mazes that Jon Cooke has helped create. Anything else you can honestly skip. So, Paranormal Inc, Shadow Lands, Special Ops Infected (assuming it comes back), updated Trick or Treat, and whatever his unannounced 2017 maze(s) are. His mazes have a level of detail and creativity that hold up easily against HHN.
  12. Two weeks before his passing the Disney "fans" booed him mercilessly at the D23 Expo for not being against the changes to Pirates. This is such a sad loss and incredible Imagineer.
  13. I rarely post on TPR, I just wanted to see what the latest on the Boomerang project was. After reading the past few pages of this thread, i'm pretty sure I now have cancer.
  14. Knott's has more space and potential for growth (acreage wise) than both Disney and Universal. The sad thing is, I don't think Cedar Fair is willing to make the huge investments needed to capitalize. Look at the old Master Plan that the Knott's family pitched sometime in 90s prior to selling the park. It involved 2 parking structures, 2 new hotels, moving the Marketplace across the street (essentially turning it into a shopping district). Getting rid of Grand Ave for theme park growth (which they should still do) and condensing the backstage area to the south west parking lot all while increasing the park's footprint by close to 25 acres. It was clear they had a vision for the property. Knott's is seriously undervalued and it's potential is being wasted in my opinion.
  15. Somebody's tampons too tight? You are stating your own personal opinion as FACT. HA!!!!! That's funny. You know NOTHING of this show. You've seen a craptastic video of them testing 1 flamethrower effect. And all of the sudden it's the worst show ever. Really? Really?!? Where exactly has this been done before by Disney? Last I checked there was no other water show in a Disney park. Illuminations isn't a watershow. It has fountains, that's great and everything but it's not a watershow. Get over that. And FYI, A "factual opinion" is a judgement my friend... To prove to you that you know nothing of this show. Each of those flame throwers is on a rotating pivot and can rotate and tilt in any direction, and were modified to inject chemicals into the fuel to change the color of the flame to the mood of the scene. Where was that done before? Please nobody want's to hear your "factual opinion" because your facts are wrong.
  16. I heard in the movie they are tearing Calico down for a 40 second coaster with a name slightly relevant to a western theme and no scenery.
  17. Dubai = Epic Fail of the Century.
  18. At IOA I saw somebody go into a restricted zone near Dueling Dragons and picked up an iPhone and walked off with it. I told a security guard, but never found out what happend.
  19. I got mine in the mail too yesterday , gonna head to Orlando april 3rd and use them!
  20. I am beginning to think there is more to this contest than imagined.
  21. I won as well. Now i need to pay 1000 dollars for hotel and plane ticket
  22. I didn't even see the actual commercial when I entered. I just heard "Universal Orlando Free Ticket" the first time it aired and entered. Anybody hear anything so far? I got a confirmation email saying I entered and that is just about it. Man I want this ticket!!!!!! Never been to USO, wouldn't mind staying for 7 days alone
  23. So with the recent additions of the Toon courtyard with Crush and the Cars ride, and the addition of Hollywood BLV and TOT, would you still consider this part a Half Day park?
