That's a very good idea! I should have thought of that earlier! Peace, Big Mike -
Hi Good Friends! The Big Mike Road Show 2008 continued on its way to Sylvan Beach in New York. Every once in a while the Rain Gods have ruined some stops on the tour so far earlier in the year, but this time Big Mike defeated the Rain Gods with 5 minutes to spare! Hope you enjoy! Peace, Big Mike We conclude with another picture for my friend Mr. Moose! Thanks for looking everyone. Darien Lake up next! Peace, Big Mike Some other rides at the park. The Galaxi Coaster, credit #587 for Big Mike. Not much to say here so I figure we will mention Angela from Philly again since it was such a hit last time! The nice view from the top of the lift. Ha! I beat you Rain Gods! I am done with you ruining my plans while I am trying to catch up to Gage! Going up the lift, can't stop me now! I jumped right in before the rain started, I wanted my credit now! Here is a picture of the car I am about to ride. The main reason to visit Sylvan Beach for me, The Galaxi Coaster! A bonus picture of the specials also! Here is a look at the 2008 prices. The Big Mike Road Show 2008 arrived at Sylvan Beach without a minute to spare as the big thunder clouds were rolling in. The first stop before hitting the amusement park was a visit to Betty Beavers, a must if you are traveling through upstate NY!

Derek Dude! It was like dejavu for me. I did those exact parks, plus some more! I was at Canada's Womderland at opening Sunday too and ran to Bohemoth at the rope drop. No company function, just a mass rush there. I was about 50th in line. Also did Waldemeer at opening at 1pm on Monday! You got a picture of Big Mike on the comet in your last picture of your report! Peace, Big Mike -
Hey My Friends!!! The Big Mike Road Show 2008 continued it's Memorial Day Weekend trip with a stop at The Great Escape in Upstate New York! The highlights of the day were meeting fellow Mainland Europe tripper IggyAce and his two kids, meeting FlyingBob and his coaster riding partner Deb, and having my remtach against the Road Runner Express coaster which was the only coaster in 2007 that I got denied on. I hope you enjoy!!! Peace, Big Mike Craig checks off New York on The Official Big Mike Road Show T-Shirt as Gage squashes Big Mike like he is doing with our coaster counts! What a very cool family. Thanks for the fun! Peace, Big Mike Sylvan Beach and Martin's Fantasy Island next! See you at Dorney this Friday!! See Caitlyn, he was alive afterall! Caitlyn thought he may have been dead when we first saw him on the ground. Lets take a ride with Big Mike. Just like Angela from Philly who made her 1st post in The Big Mike Road Show, lets see if we can get FlyingBob to do the same!! The Big Mike Road Show = 1 big happy family!!! I waved bye to Bob and Deb and it was great meeting you, plus, enjoy your ride! Bob was with his coaster riding partner Deb! Why does my coaster riding partner live all the way in Belgium? FlyingBob recognized me from reading The Big Mike Road Show 2208!!! Another new friend! Here is some history for you. The Comet from up in the ferris wheel. The Comet! Big Mike's favorite coaster in the park. I like any rapids ride that has water cannons. The Steamin Demon, which does not have a sign for some reason, but now you don't have to see one more picture of Big Mike's mug! They also have a parade for the kids. Look Mark, more promotional work They have a nice and colorful Wiggles World for the kids. Lift hill shot. A look at one of the cars. Alpine Bobsled! Here we are on the ride. Time to relax on the log flume with Craig and Gage. Nightmare at Crack Axle Canyon, still standing but not operating! Theming! Canyon Blaster! One less coaster that Gage is squashing me by. It has a fancy new paint job and looked pretty sharp. It is like every other boomerang, with the exception that Gage does not have this one yet! Woo hoo Boomerang - Coast to Coaster! (Closed all day). Big Mike already had the credit and would not have ridden it again anyway. Coaster #586 for Big Mike, as well as some retribution and satisfaction for a hard working off season workout The winner... and newwwwwwwwww... champion of the world, The Mighty Big Man, Big Mike!!!!! (By knockout if you are concerned) The moment of truth! Will Big Mike be able to put the championship belt down onto his waist? Big Mike steps into the ring with his newly hired cutman in the car already. The rematch! In the red corner, defending champion..The Road Runner Express. In the Gold corner, the challenger, The new and improved Big Mike! I had to bow in their presense as I was not worthy to hang out with them. Gage already has squashed my coaster count! I couldn't wait to meet up with Craig (IggyAce) and his kids Caitlyn and Gage! The kids coaster counts are 500+ and 600+ respectively! Here are the prices if you don't have a Six Flags season pass like I do The park map showing a pretty good sized park. Look at the "you are here" and look how far I had to walk to get this picture for you This stop on The Big Mike Road Show 2008 is at The Great Escape!

I have just returned to Big Mike Production World Headquarters!!! Let me answer some previous posts and we will get The Great Escape up tomorrow! PagemasterB - Concluding this years edition of The Big Mike Road Show 2008, Lagoon in Utah will be the #1 park on my list of parks that have the most coasters that I have not visited yet. I am hitting 8 out of my top 10 parks this year, with the other remaining one being Elitch in Denver. Larrygator - I thought that pizza was great! But then again, after a week of croquets, I was ready for anything different. Thanks again for the extra slice! Sharktums - I was just the opposite. I had no wait at all, drove right up to MANY empty lanes. I had my pick, and picked the wrong one I guess. So no wait at all for lines, but then questions and searching was long. Carnage - I have now crossed from Detroit, from Niagara Falls, and from NY State going to Montreal, ALL 3 have my wanted poster up I guess. Also, no I was not wearing The Official Big Mike Road Show 2008 T-shirt when I got questioned. Peace, Big Mike

Photo TR: Coaster Palooza 2008 - UPDATE P. 23
Big Mike replied to Coaster Palooza's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Your correct. That is exactly what happened last year, and I thought to myself that they should do a better job clearing the park next time. I guess they didn't. Peace, Big Mike -
Brass ring Merry-Go-Rounds.

I kept my free ride tickets too!! Peace, Big Mike -
Hello my friends!! Here is a quick trip report on the first two parks The Big Mike Road Show 2008 visited this Memorial Day weekend. The stops were Jiminy Peak in Massachusetts and Jeepers in Albany New York. As always, The Big Mike Road Show started the day at Big Mike Production World Headquarters in New Jersey! 3 states in one morning. I hope you enjoy this brief trip report and the bigger parks are next to come! Peace, Big Mike It was Friday and I would have been sooooo all over this offer for $4 if I was not going to have my rematch vs. The Road Runner Coaster in the next hour! See how the rematch fared out on the next trip report!!! Peace, Big Mike Big Mike needs to fill space without any bikini pictures from now on. Python Pit, coaster #585 for Big Mike! They also have a blue light to light up these stickers. Look how close you get to the ceiling. Close enough for little kids to reach! Imagine Big Mike riding now. The special theming in Albany's Jeepers is this gum/sticker/hand print section on the ceiling! Figured I would take one action shot before I got on. Looks like the same exact coaster all the time, just the theming is different. I got my Jeepers card and was ready for another Python Pit! The Big Mike Road Show 2008 moved on to Jeepers Albany. A cool twist at the end too! Sadly, Big Mike missed opening day by one day. I will return on the Labor day trip this year. You wind your way down the mountain through the trees. How about that lift on the right? It looks longer than Millenium Force! The Mountain coaster is right next to an alpine slide also. Here are the instructions just in case you are a rookie. The person behind me does not have to worry about me being a slow poke, I will have it going full throttle! Here are some of the details on the Mountain Coaster. Big Mike arrives at Jimini Peak in MA ready to ride his first mountain coaster ever!

I have never declared anything or even bought anything in Canada. I think I am being blackflagged because they think I am wierd or suspicious for tarveling alone intoo Canada all by myslef just to go to an amusement park. Thats what they told me both times. Whatever, I planned extra time into it this time and cut my down time by more than half by locking out my computer and hiding my camera. They did search through my cd player in the car and took all the cds out of it. Plus I had a lot of junk in the trunk. Next time no cd's and nothing in the trunk, and I can get out even quicker! Thanks Joe, always nice to hear your take on things I did have all those bikini shots on there, I am glad I did not have to explain that! It would have been interesting. Peace, Big Mike

I knew it was you!!! You should have seen how surprised I was to look down and see you smiling and riding. I told the people next to me that I knew you. I had a big smile on my face to see my good buddy on there. I knew it had to be you since there are not too many guys that have those great looks like you do It must be great getting all the hot babes and not even having to use a babe magnet shirt like I have to. It was nice "seeing" you and hearing from you again Bruno, even if it was just on the cover of a park map! We have to figure out how to get The Big Mike Road Show 2008 on the cover one day. Peace, Big Mike

Brass ring Merry-Go-Rounds.
Big Mike replied to Alan's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I got the brass ring, not once, but twice last time I was at Knoebels I will have to dig those pictures out! Peace, Big Mike -
Good job dude! I was just there.. damn, everything is becoming a blur on The Big Mike Road Show 2008! It was yesterday. Feels like a week ago already. I need to take a week off Peace, Big Mike

Very nice my friend! I think I missed Great Advennture's already. Peace, Big Mike -
Hi my Friends! Another quick hello and only 1 picture since it is past 2am here in Canada and I am going to be at opening at Canadas Wonderland this morning! Here are the quick updates: Opened the day at Darien Lake, waited over an hour for them to open the Motocoaster, then gave up. Finally caught it later in the day. That delay caused me to cancel Marineland, which I probably would have done anyway. Also got Martins Fantasy Island. That Silver Comit was a nice surprise. Oh, Superman still made me smile too. Well ONCE AGAIN, crossing the border into Canada, Big Mike gets pulled aside and his car totally ransacked by the border patrol! WTF??? 3 TIMES IN A ROW NOW?? Last time they went through my computer and my camera, this time I outsmarted them by putting a password on my computer and keeping my camera in my pocket. The dopes didn't turn my computer back off though. Well I will leave everyone with this one picture. I am not sure if this was posted anywhere already, but it surprised me. If anyone is in the know about this, let me know but I am about 99% sure that the person on the cover of Darien Lake's Park map is my good buddy Bruno! Let me know what you think if you know Bruno already. See you at Canada's Wonderland and Centreville today!! Peace, Big Mike Peace, Big Mike That sure does look like my best bud Bruno!

Hey there Friends!! Big Mike coming at ya live from somewhere near Syracuse NY during the Big Mike Road Show 2008! What a day! My first stop was the mountain coaster at Jimini Peak, which to Big Mike's poor planning, does not open until tomorrow. So I took some pictures and moved on. 2nd stop was Jeepers Albany and all went well claiming that one credit. 3rd stop was The Great Escape, where I met soon to be Mianland Europe trippers Craig (IggyAce) and his son Gage and his daughter Kaitlyn. They had a front row seat as Big Mike WON his rematch with the Road Runner coaster today!!! I also ran into Bob and Deb. Even though I had on my TPR hoodie because it was cold and hid my "Big Mike" shirt, Bob STILL picked me out!!!! The self promotion stuff is working 4th stop was Sylvan Beach and the roller coaster Gods finally smiled on Big Mike and the downpour came 5 mintes AFTER Big Mike rode instead of 5 minutes before Hope to see more of you sometime this weekend!! Trip reports soon. Peace, Big Mike

307, have a fantastic time at the Jays game! Hope they win and you catch a foul ball! Jazz, Have a nice time on the school trip! Where are you going? I know you will be thinking I should be riding Bohemoth with Big Mike instead of doing this Hopefully sometime down the road I will meet up with both of you somewhere! Slither, bright and early!! I would be honored to ride Magnum with your daughter! Look forward to meeting you too and combining forces for the scavenger hunt contest! Something weird is happening, the weather is supposed to be perfect?? That has not happened lately Peace, Big Mike

Hi Friends! Just nailing down some times just in case anyone wants to meet up. Don't forget, everyone I meet gets their picture in my thread and also gets to check off a stop on the Official Big Mike Road Show T-Shirt! I had a PM from someone who said they saw me at a park but was too intimidated to come up and say hi Have no fear everyone, Big Mike loves company and is super friendly! Just in case you still cannot just come up and say hi, here is the brand new secret password phrase that we will use from now on at The Big Mike Road Show 2008: Get in earshot range of me and say "I wish it was snowing out". I will reply "Yes, then we could ski down the first drop". Then the ice will be broken and we can enjoy the day together!!! Now, onto this weekend's adventure! The Big Mike Road Show 2008 is proud to present the details of the Memorial Day weekend trip as follows: (All times are estimates) Friday May 23rd: Jimini Peak - Opening at 11am Jeepers Albany - Noon Great Escape - 1pm Sylvan Beach - 7pm Saturday May 24th: Darien Lake - Opening at 10:30 Martins Fantasy Island - 1:30 Marineland - 3:30 Sunday May 25th: Canada's Wonderland - Opening at 10am Centreville - 4pm Monday May 26th: Waldameer - Opening at 1pm Midway Park - 5pm The side stories of this trip: The Rematch - Last year Big Mike visited The Great Escape and was denied going on The Road Runner coaster because they could not get the lap bar down. Some off season working out hopefully will have Big Mike coming out victorious this year! Canada Border Patrol - Big Mike's last two trips to Canada have BOTH resulted in getting pulled over at border patrol and having his car completely ransacked. Once, ok. Two times in a row? Something fishy is going on. Three new for 2008 coasters! - Bohemoth, Orange County Chopper, and Ravine Flyer 2!!! Big Mike will try out his first ever mountain coaster at Jimini Peak! Finally - Big Mike may finally get to obtain the credits at Martins Fantasy Island after 3 seperate trips past this park! That is this weekend's update! The Big Mike Road Show 2008 is already set to announce the following 2 weeks after that too! Friday May 30th - Coaster Madness at Dorney Park! Friday June 6 - CoasterMania at Cedar Point including Fun Fore All I hope to see everyone at the park! Please feel free to send me any hints, advice, comments, or feedback on this weekend's trip. Thanks!! Peace, Big Mike

Thanks Jeff! I appreciate the help my friend! For everyone reading The Big Mike Road Show 2008, two years ago when I went on my first TPR trip, I was not a coaster collector like I am today. Thus, this is why I am having to go back and clean up some coasters I left at these parks long ago. Somewhere along the line after I met Jeff and listened to his stories of his trips, enjoyed his pictures of him in line with just the little kids, and saw the enjoyment he got out of hitting as many coasters as he could, I caught the Jeff Johnson bug. I'd not only like to thank Jeff for being a great guy and a good friend, but acknowledge him here that it was his planting of the seeds a while back that has grown into letting me enjoy all of these stops on The Big Mike Road Show 2008 lately! Peace, Big Mike PS - Robb and Elissa heart felt thank you coming soon too

^ Thanks Sue! I will make sure to give the person in front of me a huge head start. ^^ I need 5 credits at Wonderland. So it is not just Bohemoth, but it is not every credit either I will be there at opening for sure and try to get as many as quickly as I can! Does anyone know if our GPS things work up in Canada too? Thanks! Peace, Big Mike
