robb, You most definatly want to call Disney to book your hotel if you work for an airline as you receive a 50% discount on room prices. Comes in very handy. Go to the disney website take 50% off, next take the UK=US exchange rate so minus approx another 40% and then your talking some VERY good rates. So it is very affordable for me to stay at any of the resorts but I still say it stinks..... but having said that if the pass is working come Sept then I'll sure be using it if given to me.... so I guess im weak

true, but if its acceptable for universal to benefit it's on-site guests by giving them express pass perks why is it not ok for disney to offer something to their on-site guests. I just dont like the one hotel guest getting more tan a different hotel guest. If you are a Disney Resort guest then you should expect the same as any other disney resort guest. Next thing we know they will be saying deluxe guests can come in the park a bit earlier than mod resort guests and value resort guests can only come in 5 minutes before the park opens because you don't pay so much. It will be a case of a deluxe guest can book a dinner table by the window but the value resort guest can only get a table in the crappy corner. I think it will really cock-up something that works really well at the moment

i wouldn't say most of us like it. at least not all of it, A Disney Value resort is quite dam cheap, i just dont like the different levels... we are staying in a mod or deluxe in Sept for 2 weeks so its not that I wont benefit from it, its just not fair

I think it is a good idea to give resort guests a perk like quicker fastpass times as long as its equal to all resort guests. I think that the Value resorts really arn't that expensive and like mentioned before people who can afford to visit DisneyWorld most probably can afford to at least stay at a Value resort. I dont agree that different class hotels should receive different levels of the new tickets. Everyone is paying the same money to access the parks so it is not fair that people receive such a different level of service and enjoyement of the parks. The person next to you in the queue will have paid the same money to get into the park as you regardless of which hotel they have stayed at. I can afford to travel first class and have done in the past and can afford the best hotels and sometimes choose to stay in them. I also work dam hard every day of the week traveling around Europe fixing computer systems having to be away from my wife and family on a regular basis. It doesn't mean though just because my job pays well that I work any harder than the person in the queue next to me and it doesn't give me the right to get on the rides any quicker than the person who has been saving for the last two years for their dream holiday to DW. Yes give an incentive to resort guests to stay at a DWR- the resorts are affordable to all, no don't give the rich a better day out than the person who has saved for years for their dream holiday and can only afford to stay at a value resort.

JT3000... why are you trying your best to turn this into a Universal v's Disney thread... No one is knocking Universal... People are generally stateing they love both sets of parks and then giving their preference, like in my case it's Disney due to my preference to their quality themeing. (i dont know what your on about quantity for?) as I've already said all the parks are great.. what's with knocking Disney... it's just childish and stupid

They are two totally different parks.. aimed at different audiences... we the consumer are very lucky to be able to visit Orlando and be exposed to such high quality from two very good brands.. Everyone has their own preference.. mine is Disney thats because quality is more important than thrill to me... but thats just my preference... I love both brands and all there Florida parks... Long may it continue to be such a fantasic place and hopefully it will get bigger and better..... Oh as regards the iditots with dead mice etc.... well that is just dumb.... millions and millions and millions of repeat visitors can't be wrong.... stupid people... don't take any notice Elissa

I think Indie will be the big next project once this years celerbrations settle down a bit. They have plenty of marketing cards up their sleeves at the momement. I think we might here something at the start of next year... I think it will be very cool. I know it might be the same technology as Dinosaur but the themeing etc... would make it seem a very different ride to the average joe public....

there are rumours that Indianna Jones will be transformed into the same ride as the once at Disneyland. Its rumoured they want to do something with this show and now they have the new stunt show from DLP it is thought it would fit in well. Just a rumour though

only able to visit once year due to living in the UK and yes every now and then they do let themselves down a little. but generally I dont think anyone can honoustly knock their high standards of ride design and themeing... I think Mission Space and T.O.T says it all... Outstanding quality which cant be matched.. and getting back on topic... well worth the $8 parking fee :o

The Disney brand didnt appear over night... It will be very hard for any company or themepark brand to overtake Disney's stronghold as the mark of excelence when it comes to Themeparks and themepark rides.

Well you know what.... It costs X amount of money to park at Disney.. It costs Y amount of money to get into the parks and it costs Z amount of money to buy stuff while in the parks. I think all are of the highest quality and that is why it has so many millions of fans. If you dont want to pay for quality then go elsewhere. While there are people happy to pay the prices then it will continue. Don't forget Disney's themeparks are making money unlike a lot of the rest of the company, they have to make all the money they can from the parks. Im a share holder at Disney (only a little one) and the annual report was interesting reading.....

I think your not far from the truth here... A large amount of WDW visitors are tourists from out of town staying in hotels or villa's. Disney must be always thinking of ways of encouraging people to stay in their resorts. I.E early morning entry, purchases back to your resort, free transport... Not paying for parking as a resort guest is just another encouraging thing to get visitors to stay on site. To be honoust I don't think paying $8 is really a big deal. Most cars have betwen 2-4 people in them.. So at worse its $4 each or perhaps only $2 each. You then get the free tram and transport to the park entrance. You dont go to DisneyWorld not expecting to have an expensive day do you????? After all you pay for quality in this world.... well unless your cheap enough to drive 50 miles around Disney property to save 8 bucks

yes he is a cocky so and so.... and over history Barcelona have been a much bigger club and more successfull than Chelsea.... but if you are comparing them to the new CHELSKI as they like to be known there I think you will find overtime Chelsea are going to be very successfull and become very big

I've got a 1.8 litre Ford in the Uk and it costs me around 45pounds to fill up.. that appox 80 of your fine dollars... That will last approx two weeks....... Dam prices suck in this country..... no wonder R&E aren't coming to the UK on this years visit

hey dude... congratulations..... We had our honeymoon there in June last year staying at Corronado Springs. Make sure you wear the disney wedding hats. Lots of nice little touches... being moved to the front of qeues, free drinks, mickey and minnie singing to us at A.K just little fun things like that.. that make you feel special and great about it being your honeymoon in such a cool and magical place. Try and make a reservation at the Californian Grill resteraunt at the Contempory resort. Try and book it for around 45mins before wishes fireworks. That way you should be nicely onto dessert when the lights dim and the fireworks start. They pipe the music from the display into the resteraunt and you can sit there watching. Its very romantic trust me..... You got to do these things every now and again
