What Was The Last Coaster You Rode?
Bamwa replied to SharkTums's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Beast, 2nd to last train of the night. Took my niece and nephew Labor Day Sunday. It was her first trip on coasters and she was a champ. Her first ever was DiamondBack and she didn't like the stomach thing at first but then loved The Beast, Racer Orion Banshee Mystic then Beast again. What a great trip AND I won uncle of the year! -
Wonder Woman is a bit too wide of a straddle for my likening, and SteVe destroyed my thighs on the second ride back to back. I would rather have a vest on SteVe than try to hold myself down if riding more than once a day. I was kinda stapled too but there was still maybe 2.5" between the bar and my legs/pelvis. The bunnies on the second lap did me in.

dang it was always fun to see folks slam into that brake run and their faces afterwards, but now the launch will feel more like launching out of a living room in a haunted mansion -

Just tunnel into the quarry wall. Imagine Flinstone like balconies overlooking Pandemonium. There is a field between the lot and the highway. -

CP could use a B&M Flyer but that wouldn't be a good place to put it terrain wise. Also I hope they dont waste the money on a freespin. -

Well if you've been on Diamondback or Goliath in Atlanta those B&M clamshells are the best. So open and free and would REALLY make this ride more scary than vests or OTSRs. Kind of like the difference of TTD over Ka, just so open yet safe with just lapbars that it kind of changes the experience for the better. -

this is interesting.....https://dc.fandom.com/wiki/Doctor_Diabolical_(Earth-Twelve) as Dr D dresses up as a woman and has a lab and made a machine. Looks like we have our first crossdresser themed ride. this is interesting also https://dc.fandom.com/wiki/Herman_Cramer_(New_Earth) considering lil Blimpie. Fiesta really working that lore. -

That guitarist does look lile Bono lol. I was expecting a splashdown element from the fountain of youth clue. Glad to have a dive and like Bert said it leaves the cliff behind Pirates for a hopefully quarry flyer someday. Would have been awesome to outtall Yukon Striker but still looks fun and will be prominent in the center of the park. Can you watch the waterfalls from the drop perhaps? -

Axis is unique but have you seen the prototype? Sometimes the track flips but the riders dont. Not sure the point of that. Just seems like S&S being extra, but maybe getting the feeling of regular coaster then inverted coaster then wing coaster would be alright. If a coaster is gonna spin I think facing the car any way you like and locking it there would be awesome. One ride forward. Ride it again facing backwards. Ride again facing sideways. That would be fun. -

Saw a pic of Dare Devil Dive with planes stalled upside down on TTS Facebook page. F that! No idea how long they were upside down. Choose your flat rides accordingly. -

The did have the recent problem with their frisbee ride. I can't speak to their quality actually. Good catch. I think SkyRocket II's look fun so guessing the heart will be fun also assuming it has no problems of course. Prototypes require balls and faith. -

The factory coaster may fit the steampunk theming and looks ok with the drop track and all (and would be cooler if ACed in summer) but if I were Zamp and was trying to show off a new ride somewhere aka impress and take orders = make money, I'd be looking for a park to showcase the 230 footer asap. Cheers -

I think you are on to something here Bert. The evolution part if this video shows the air race, giga discovery then this. Only thing left is to guess the name and colors. -

I saw maskless Karens are petitioning KI to change their stance on Fleetwood Masks. Don't they know covid numbers are rising. Keep them Karens out of KI. -

Brutal,,,,but my back does thank Cedar Fair. -
That's how I've done it since I started going on a regular basis. Personally though, I'm just not a fan of possibly having to go all the way back out to my car to grab my camera bag if I can't get a fluffy, fluffy bunny filled with medicine and goo rental because they're all sold out! What is behind this forum's term for lockers? Someone help me understand. I'm out of the loop on this one. Just a Rob-ism? Why why why?!

That is a movement i could get behind Just seeing these photos, it makes the scale of this thing a whole lot more noticeable! I knew it was a big ride, but seeing how it is physically fitting in the park now makes it seem even more massive. I am wondering, will this ride have a water filtration / cleaning system or are they just gonna let the water turn into liquid death like they did with the old aquaman? What you don't like pink eye? -

If I had to guess, 4 min per cycle x 20 per car = 300 people per hr. This line will be death in the summer. Pulsar says 950 per hr but this is Six Flags and without the turntable. Even if 2 min cycles are possible which I doubt they are.....still only 600 per hr. We will see. Correct me if I'm wrong. -
