  1. However, Mindbender has very simple U-shaped lapbar restraints and these seem to fit a great number of people quite well. The lack of seat dividers also gives more room at the hips for many riders. I've never seen anyone turned away for not fitting in the lapbars on Mindbender's trains. The only caveat I would mention is that the seat backs are *very* straight (complete 90 degrees to the hip axis), so if anyone in your party has pronouced spinal curvature or has had previous spinal fusions/problems, they may be uncomfortable in these trains. Odds are, if your family members can fit other ride restraints, they'll have no problems fitting in Mindbender's simpler restraint design... Good luck, and hope you all have a fun and safe trip! Thanks for the info. My relatives are finally convinced that they will fit into MindBender. As for CYclone, I told them to forget about it. The individual lap bars and seat dividers on an already small train will be difficult for them. I'm not sure about GASM. Again, THANKS ALOT!! for the info. P.S. What causes black-outs on roller coasters?
  2. If someone is 260 pounds, will they be able to ride Mind Bender? I'm EXTREMLY SORRY if I sound annoying. As i stated earlier, this is my relatives first time to SFOG. This is the second time in there life that they have been to a Six Flags. The first time they went was to SFA when S:ROS opened.
  3. I'm going saturday. I hope the weather will be good. Can anyone 260 pounds fit?
  4. Strange, i'm more than 150 and I fit into MindBender, Cyclone, Batman, and Canyon Blaster just fine. The loops feel more than 4 G's. On www.coaster-net.com, they claim that the loops pull 5.8 G's. How much does Ninja's loops pull? My relatives are happy that they can fit into Goliath. They tried S:ROS last year, and the ride op was rude. He said,"y'all know you won't be able to ride. You're just holding up the line. Now PLEASE MOVE!!"
  5. That stinks Deja Vu won't open until May. I thought that Ninja and Deja Vu will open sometime in April. Do you think that Mind Bender will be open? I heard that the ride lost power over the past weekend(3/25-3/26). How long does it take to get the power back? i also heard that Free Fall lost its power also. how is that possible? I'm overweight and i fit perfectly into Canyon Blaster. You can fit in Mine train if you cross your legs. I also fit into Mind Bender perfeclty. If you are heavy, does the force in the loops cause you to black-out? It's around 5.8 G's in the loops. I'll also try to post pictures in my trip report after April 1.
  6. By big, I meen 250- 377 pounds. It's a that Ninja won't be open. But, how do you know Ninja won't be open? I've been looking forward to riding it. I don't care if Deja Vu is closed. I'm terrified of it. Once I was waiting in line, it got stuck. My mom won't even let me go on it. After the test dummy situation, I don't think I will go on it for a while. I'll post a trip report after I go.
  7. I'm going to SFOG on April 1 with alot of family members. Most of them have never been to SFOG before. So, I have a couple of questions: 1. Will Ninja be open? 2. My relatives want to do MindBender. But, some of them are huge. Will the lapbars fit? Also, if you weigh(sp?) alot, will the force on the ride cause you to black-out? 3. What's the maximum weight for Superman and Goliath? THANKS!!
  8. Mine are Vekoma Butterfly's. It's a shame there are only two coasters with them. why did they stop making them? I also like Schwarzkopf loops ALOT. Batman at SFOG didn't really do anyhing. My friends sat in each car and not once were we floating.
  9. I heard that New Jersey has a law on a maximum amount of G- force. Who comes up with these laws? I meen, if you don't like a ride with alot of G's, DON'T RIDE IT!! It's as simple as that. That's sad though. Modifying a great ride untill it's better off scraping it instead ofkeping it in its original form. At least there aren't any laws like the "maximum G force" in GEORGIA
  10. Sorry, I forgot to add "other" to the poll. I've heard that Zonga isn't that great.
  11. Tell me what y'all's favorite/least favorite Schwarzkopf coaster is. My favorite is Mind Bender at SFOG. My least favorite is Space Mountain at WDW. The think is, those are the only two I have been on.
  12. The slow lift scares me also. For some reason, I like that loud noise the lift makes when the train engages/disengages the chain. How forceful are the loops? I'm just hoping it's open on April 1. About how many supports are still white? Do you think it will be ready by April 1? If it isn't, that would be a pain in the
  13. Do you think it will be ready for April 1? When my cousin went, he said he saw the trains on the stage of the SouthernStar Amphitheater(sp?). I don't think they are changing the cars. They probably took off the cars so nothing will interfear with the painters. They might also paint the trains also. Do y'all think that the new paint will attract people again? The GP might think they re-did the ride only to find out it's still the same. OFF TOPIC: How does the train do the butterfly loop?
  14. What's wrong with their butterfly inversions? Are they a really big head banger? When wiil the ride open? I'm going on April 1 and I might try it. How come most Arrow/Vekoma loopers are smoothest in the back? I honestly liked white better than black. Can anyone post a picture of the ride paonted black PLEASE?
  15. Why can't they just put in lapbars? Wasen't it originally built with lapbars/ Who came up with that dum law saying all looping rides need OTSR's? It's a Schwarzkopf, it isn't supposed to have OTSR's. Montezumas Revenge still has lapbars. If lapbars are added, SFMM might learn a lesson and change Revolution(again).
  16. Lalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalala
  17. What's that supposed to mean? I'm trying to creat MindBender@ SFOG by merging track and having looping cars on giga track. Sorry if the first statement sounded rude.
  18. I scan't figure out how to merge track. I'm following directions, but it isn't working. Is there any thing i'm doing wrong?
  19. That sounds cool. Bu, how do you get it? Also, what do you mean by "trams of people".?
  20. I've been wondering, what is the 8-car trainer? I've heard people talk about it but I have no clue what it is. Also, where do you get it?
  21. The cars look great! But, I have a feeling this is going to be like Intamin, a "Small people only, no fat people" ride. That's a shame. Even Arrow and Morgan hyper coasters allow big people to ride. Even Vekoma rides with lap bars allow big people to ride. Hopefully one day, Intamin and B&M will realize that there are plenty of big people that ride coasters. Colincoon wrote that the helix would pull 4.5 g's but since it's a B&M, it will pull 3.0 g's. How's that possible?
  22. Media Day is almost here!!! This might be the best B&M hyper coaster yet!! How steep is the first drop?? I remember reading somewhere that the first drop is 45 degrees. I think I read that on Parktrips.com. I wonder how much G's the helix and horseshoe will pull. Isn't this the first time that there is a horseshoe turn on a sit-down coaster? Also ,can someone PLEASE post a picture of Goliath from the interstate right when you see the rides? I have always wondered how much the skyline changed with the Gasp gone .
  23. Another sad accedent. I don't know if it was a lap bar issue(again) or if the employee did something dumb. Since he was an employee, he could have tweeked something. Nevermind, that sentence didn't make sence. I wouldn,t be suprised if it was ANOTHER lap bar accedent. If that's the case, you probably won't see another Intamin with lap bars.
  24. Can you post a picture of Ninja with black supports? Since Ninja is getting repainted, is it getting new trains? Also, who said Mind Bender is getting a third train?
