  1. Gold plus membership ranges from $7.60/mth (Stl) to 8.95/mth(MM). Figure FC will be priced like Stl which comes to ovr the payments $91.20/yr + $20 security deposit or $103.20/yr with no security. deposit.
  2. $9 was extremely low for parking at an amusement park. SF said they think they can double the EBIDTA of the 5 new parks, well $6 more for parking and if it goes to $20, a total increase of $11 hepls with the EBIDTA goal. The high cost of pricing is an enticement to buy a season pass or membership that includes parking. It will be very interesting how SF handles the season pass and memberships for the 2 new dry parks. Both now are at 79.99 for regular price in 2018.
  3. Skywarps are going to be everywhere, it has nothing to do it with space. It's that they cost 2M and SF can call them a coaster. They will be the new superloop of the chain. With 3 variants hopefully SF mixes up the models. The small indy parks should jump all over buyung Skywarps, as well as RMC Raptors. Getting both over a 3 or so year period would be a nice 1,2 for places like KK, HW, Compounce, etc..
  4. Soaring Timbers not so much, kind of disappointed with it. Many other Wonderland flats I liked better. A Top Scan, which has become popular with Cedar Fair would be better IMO. I also like the Giant Jump, Zamperla Hawk, Top Scan more than Soaring Timbers. My #1 was the Skyroller(Skyhawk at Wonderland), but it only has a 24 capacity. I could get 50+ flips regularly. I just don't know if CP would want the lower capacity compared to other flat rides they could add. I wouldn't minds the HUSS 2G/2GH, but none have been sold yet.
  5. That's to the second set of switchbacks, that's 45 min to an hour minimum. Possibly more depending on how far it goes into the 2nd set of switchbacks
  6. As good as the Raptor track coasters apparently are, I'm not sure they're as huge of an investment as some people are making them out to be. In terms of height, length, spacial requirements, etc, I feel like they're equivalent to a larger Euro-Fighter (Huracan, Speed, Dare Devil Dive, among others), and I believe that's part of the point of that particular design. Raptors were meant to be for small independent parks to be able to afford they are thus are a sub 10M coasters. Some speculation has their price as low was 5M...The Eurofighter Darien Lake got they said the entire project was like 5.2M, if I remember correctly.
  7. Dark Ride with a space theme. They were one of the upper tier SF parks that never got a Justice League.
  8. Gatekeeper is a line eater just my it's nature of it's 3 train ops can dispatch better than Valravn. Gatekeeper;s ridership its first year was 2,165,965. Valravn's first year was 1,599,105. Gatekeeper always has higher ridership but a shorter line than Valravn.
  9. The incident at KD was a cell phone. The logic IMO, is that keys and wallets people can easily shove deep in to packets and be secure. People have big cell phones and pockets they don't really fit into often. So the phone is half sticking out and the intensity of a ride like SV makes it come out. I'm a cargo short zipper pocket person so I never had issues with intense rides. I actually don't like cargo shorts aesthetically and only wear them when at parks to secure my stuff. I never wear them in every day life.
  10. I am pretty confident that the MCBR isn't programmed as a block brake, just a trim. The lift hill speeds up when the brake run has a block open. They wouldn't have to wait for brake run to be clear if the MCBR was programmed. I do agree that this whole thing is out of caution. The MCBR still trims every ride, except at night it tends to stop for some reason. I only get my trimless rides at night now. I have had trimless rides in the last hour of operations or so. The second 1/2 is so much more fun w/o the trim. It's still great with it, but another level without.
  11. Don't blame the park, this ride was a prototype for a smaller company and it has been having many issues that skyline has been working in. I bet the park and Skyline are both annoyed by all the issues. SFDK is partly to blame. As of the first week of June they were still pouring concrete and not close to being ready for completion or testing. They had no intention of opening the ride till late June at best or early July. The issues with Skyline were later on. The construction was purposely started late, which is SF plan to have nothing ready early in the season and if you're lucky memorial day. More than 1/2 the parks didn't open rides till the middle of June and several not till July.
  12. That's really strange, especially if they have to wait for the next train to hit the final brakes to dispatch. That wouldn't increase the capacity at all, it would just make the ride cycle longer because you'd stack. I wonder why they can't run this like Banshee or Magnum, which both have three trains and no Mid Course. All they would have to do is find the dispatch interval that guarantees the first train will clear the final brake run before the second reaches the top of the lift. ..although I suppose that if it was possible they'd have already done it. Hope they can figure it out soon so more people can enjoy it! They were probably just testing still in a "live scenario". The MCBR sensors should tell them they can dispatch as the train passes the point, even if the MCBR isn't being used to actually slow the trains by being on. CP is still being cautious, another "bump" with the current frenzy over phones would be a PR disaster
  13. This is really ridiculous a ride is opening for the season with 2 weeks of full operation hours left. The week of Aug 13 they cut back to 6pm close for a week and then are weekends only thru the fall. It's essentially like getting nothing for 2018 for the majority of the peak season to draw people in to the new "shiny thing".
  14. Ride time 2:27 Passengers 16 per train Track length 3255ft Inversions or launches 2 could be both as ICON has 2 launches and 2 inversions. 530?? Barn length or tunnel
  15. The contracts are up. KI got it in 2011...removed end of 2017 season. Wondeland, Dorney, Cedar Point. Kings Dominion got it in 2012.....expect all reomoved end of 2018 season. Carowinds, Valley fair, WOF got it in 2013 ...expect removal end of 2019 season. I would agree Wonderlands is in spot for the space to be for Kids rides or a family ride. Dormey's area coud be used for a coaster as it's near the space where Stinger was remived already. Cedar Point's spot could be used for a coaster when combined with maybe Snake River falls spot. Kings Dominon's is next to the Go Karts and Grizzly. The Karts at KD are not very popular and the track is small. I could see Karts going soon after the Dinos.
  16. Don't know if mentioned yet but this was seen at Wonderland the other day. Cedar Point, Dorney, KD also got Dinos in 2012 and are likely facing extinction too. Extinction Event!
  17. Grain of salt. But was told by park rep on tues morning that it’s an improved (covered) queue for Goliath. And it certainly does look like that’s what it is being built They need to put a shade covering on the queue closest to the station. The secondary switchback area is fully covered. However the 1st area of switchbacks only has coverings in the corners, that shades almost nobody.
  18. Grain of salt. But was told by park rep on tues morning that it’s an improved (covered) queue for Goliath. And it certainly does look like that’s what it is being built I was just there this week and they are putting walls on the structure. A new queue that needs a solld wall of plywood, a thin layer of insulation, then outer corrugated metal sheeting?
