  1. Obnoxious as expected. Sorry it's the truth, it's a low to mid range launch coaster, nothing more. Stunt coaster or Verbolten type famil-ish coaster, not a big thrill coasters
  2. Gimmicky as expected. It's a mid to low range launch coaster a la Stunt Coaster speeds, not a big thrill coaster.
  3. Most SF fanboys should know by now to have low expectations, then anything but a superloop seems great.
  4. I'm going to laugh ny A$$ off if it's a Steeplechase or even the Vekoma FM 1 b/c SFMM fanboys are already whining about any type of family friendly coaster on social media. I wouldn't. The S&S Steeplechase looks fun and the Formlula 1 looks fantastic! The fanboys would complaint about a 500ft Intamin because it's too....whatever their bitching is about this year. I hardly care what they think. If it's a Steeplechase I have a feeling it won't just be fanboys complaining. The Formula 1 would please all except the hardcore fanboys. Yeah the Steeplechase would cause heads too explode. I think they are safe there though because SFMM would never be that classy to bring back a classic ride like that. Formula 1 though, that's right up their alley. Cheap, short, kinda trashy, but passable as a thrill ride. No matter what they get, I'm not heading back to the LA parks till Star Wars Land opens in 2020

  6. I can access every SF parks flash sale with that link and substituting the name for the XXXXX's. This is a problem on your end it appears. What park are you looking for?
  7. I'm going to laugh ny ASS off if it's a Steeplechase or even the Vekoma FM 1 b/c SFMM fanboys are already whining about any type of family friendly coaster on social media.
  8. The flash sale link still works if that's what you're talking about.
  9. If you're expecting SF to fix that you may be very disappointed. SF's comments on the new parks in the conf call was that they required very little maintenance. So, I would not expect a slew of things to be corrected. Also, SF has a bunch of their parks with rusty coasters and peeling paint that have been that way for sometime..ie..SFOG is horrible with Mindbender, GA Scorcher, the Johnny rocket is ghetto, etc.. At SFOT Mr Freeze is rusted in many spots and had a ton of peeling paint and Shockwave is even worse and is pure ghetto with christmas lights held on by zip ties as a lighting package. I could keep going. Pretty much every SF park has sub par maintenance of coasters, bathrooms and had basic things not kept up properly. The parks aesthetics are just not good in most cases, they are not even close to other chains in that regards such as Cedar Fair, BG/Seaworld, Herschend, etc.. Not that weird since the operating lease took effect June 1st, after the season had started. SF will surely switch over to Coke, bit if DL's contract was not set to end in 2018, it will surely cost SF to terminate the deal early.
  10. They are generally not good, but their talk of the Vekoma formula 1 type racing coaster actually makes sense. The rumor now is the new coaster is more family oriented and that would fit the bill. It's kind of like if you made Backlot Stunt into a duelling racing coaster(4 passengers per vehicle), the launch is not super fast, but enough to thrill some enthusiast, but not enough to scare off families.
  11. The membership payments kick in right away, the first charge is the day you order, with the processing fee and potentially the $20 security deposit. It is then billed as I read things on the same day of the month afterwards, the same date as the purchase. So, if you order on announcement day you will get billed the 30th of every month(last day of the month in february). The no processing is you don't have to go to the park this fall. For the Gold Pass free upgrade from regular pass, the deal every year is you have to process your pass by a certain date in the fall. You can't wait till the beginning of next season to get the free upgrade. A small % each year fail to do this, as I heard a lady complain about this at the start of the season b/c she didn't do it. This fall processing guarantees a person like me, who doesn't like to go to Frightfest b/c it's a zoo, has to show up at least 1 time in the fall. Sf gets a boost in attendance and they are hoping they get a few bucks off you in that mandatory visit.
  12. Wow. SF is bad at putting up their website stuff so it can be found if you search. Yesterday the flashsale prices and now this. Yes, GAdv needs flats, 2 thrilling flats back to back years.
  13. Also, I went thru the full thread and not 1 water park addition. When has SF never done a WP expansion at all in a year? Another layer of skepticism. WP's are gold for parks and have great ROI's.
  14. Sounds mostly like regurgitation of essentially the group think for weeks. The person also seems to have no idea what rides are. If you had the inside info wouldn't you know what a Zamp Endeavour is, Turbillion, Skywarp, etc... or the documents you supposedly obtained would have the official ride names given by the manufacturer and not figure 8 ride or ride spinning on 3 axis or inverting looping coaster. Highly skeptical that that is nothing more than an enthusiast who wanted their predictions to be the center of attention.
  15. The 3 months free for people that already have 2018 passes really is just making you whole. You already paid for the rest of 2018, but they start charging you the membership now. The 3months free at the end is making up for the double charge in 2018. It all balances out in the end. Correction, upon further review the 3 months is slick marketing with little value. You only get the 3 months after you cancel or the equivalent of the 3 months after 48 months of membership. SF has thus slickly found a way to get any 2018 pass holder to double pay for the last 4 months of 2018, which will produce a record 4th quarter regardless of Frightfest, HITP. They are potentially getting converted pass holders to members to pay between $28 to $64 more when they already paid for 2018. If people think this thru they will not convert till January. The $12 saving potentially on getting the 4+ price for those who don't by 4 still doesn't balance out the double paying the remainder of 2018.

  17. If it was up to me, I would knock of the 3 B&M's on your afternoon/evening and free up your full day. I also have to mention that it will be cheaper for you to buy a season pass rather than 2 day passes. Also, remember the prices listed on the website are Canadian dollars, with the conversion rate it's dirt cheap.
  18. Does anybody know where Knott's currently has it's catering kitchen? Asking b/c they recently filed building permits for a 4486 sqft one at 8301 Stanton Street which is off the main property. Just wondering if they may be building a new one off site to open space. The job value is 2.5M in the permit. http://www.buenapark.com/home/showdocument?id=15093 The other permit filed in July was for a emergency latter on Hangtime with job value of 65K
  19. They have cleared some space already in Gotham between Harley Quinn and Catwoman. It'saspot that a small flat like a Skywarp would fit nicely in and would essentially "top off" Gotham. Also, it would nice if they gave Mr Freeze a pain job, it is looking really bad. Paint it the light blue on all the tracks, would make it pop. Shockwave even looks worse, but it's a 40 yr old Schwartzkopf. If it's staying long term it needs a paint job and take off the ridiculous ghetto lights held on by zip ties.
  20. 2020 is stacking up to be potentially a huge year. CGA- hyper KI- B&M of some type BGW - 315 ft approved waiver..giga? Hershey- hyper Dorney- already teasing a wood coaster CP ??? bet on something good KB ??? taking of their next big investment
  21. Just b/c something is removes does not mean it has to be replaced the next season. They could tear it down and leave it open for future development. Also, the lack of "staging" means nothing since SF builds largely inexpensive coasters that take no time. A free fly needs no early pre staging. The same with a Raptor, it can be built in 3 to 4 months according to RMC. A Skywarp, which SF claims is a coaster, has very little to the actual construction. These are 3 things most likely if they actually replace it with a coaster and all are quick builds that would require no prep this early.
