No info on the new "park"? Just the expansion of the rails? Did he say where the track was going to go? Was there last weekend. Had an awful tour guide at the Tuttle's Rustic House. Where they found an old queen to give that tour and make 6 bucks an hour is beyond me. The narration was a rough as the Coney Island Cyclone.

That makes 3 Kennywood Entertainment parks that begin with a tunnel under a road. -

Definately. SFNE is nice enough but its hardly worth the 2 hour drive from Boston. Id definately rather make a weekend out of it and go to Gadv. A few cocktails and El Toro...yummy. I find that staying in Princeton on the weekends you can get good rates at some of the better hotels (Hyatt, Westin). Also, the canobie log ride is hands down the BEST classic log flume around. -

Nice TR. Love the retro looking Storyland billboard. I was at Kennywood a few weeks ago and they had all the KW Entertainment parks painted along the entry tunnel; I wonder when Storyland will be added. -
LAME: Pirates park had a kick @ss "2001 space odyssey" scrambler and a cool "pirated den" dark ride. I grew up going there. It sucks immensely to see all those condos going up. I stopped by last weekend to play some games upstairs (the rarely open) at Joes and found that most of the classic games (the uber sexy Tron) were broken. Chrisy's pizza, however, still makes for sexy time.

She looks like she's going to clobber you with that right arm then take advantage of you. -
Does the Kennywood Sal give Kenny...eh...wood? Not only does the Kennywood Sal look a little...well...'specials needsy' with that sweater and gorilla looking pose...but the chest...THE CHEST! A little something to remember her by... "have you seen my baseball?" The Kennywood Sal. After looking twice and reassuring myself that Kennywood is a dry park I've come to the scientific conclusion that those are lady nips on that Sal The San Francisco Sal...lookin' good. The Sant Cruz Sal...A fine looking lady.

Cyclone: My coccyx (a$$) still hursts just thinking about it. It was like riding a $1.50 sled down a pile of garbage. I went on that god forsaken ride many years ago and thought it to be charming. However a few months ago, leaving GADV, coming home to MA I brought (dragged) my fiancée to Coney Island to experience the classic ride. We sat in the back seat. All I remember is screaming to her "DONT FIGHT IT...IT CANT BE ..." (the rest of the dialogue is garbled). Honestly...aside from Ghost Rider at Knotts (which was a kiddy log ride in comparison) that was the WORST ride I've ever been on. I love Americana and old parks, but it was awful. Not only was the ride bad but the 20 people working the platform was out of control. They had 5 people there to take your "loose articles" (and tips) to specials lockers. The whole operation was like something out of The Sopranos. If you wanted to re-ride for $4 they just grabbed your money and handed it to the bookie working the controls. The entire queue area was like a subway station platform, no lines, just complete chaos.

WDW kidnapping

I find it strange that they weren't killed. According to the story that gun was loaded (as it had gone off). They were driven to a secluded area and beaten...why stop there? I would have thought that if the intent wasnt to kill that they would have been left at the ATM machine once they took the money out. When I moved from Los Angeles to Orlando a while back I was surprised to find the number of violent crimes (per person) were far higher in Orlando. -

"Old man Stauf built a house and filled it with his toys. Six Guests were invited one night, their screams the only noise. Blood in the Library, blood right up the hall, dripping down the attic stairs...", If you recognize this quote, E-mail Dan! "...and lord it smells awful too, what's Stauf been doing here....hmmmmm" -Dutton -
Canobie Lake Park

My personal goal this year is to ensure the removal of the Mona Lisa. Not only does it cheapen a famed work of art by hanging it on a used carnival ride, but it cheapens a beautiful park by having a canvas reprint of a great work of art on a rather strangely themed ride. -
What do you think the chances are of SFNE opening tomorrow (4/15) during this winter storm we're getting? Its going to be raining/snowing and like 39 degrees? I was all psyched to go! ...and will do so if they are open.
