There's a new drone video from yesterday:

Kings Island isn't opening until mid-May at the earliest, so we will have to wait until then for Orion. Also, here is a cool video of Orion testing! The pacing looks outstanding. I love how the ride is really woven into Kings Island's terrain.

To me it looks like the building is for the ride exit, which means that it should be a gift shop. The blueprints indicate that structure to be in the queue and both the regular and FastLane queues are routed through it. It's marked as "Quonset Hut" and "Prop Building" on the blueprints. For reference, Orion's entrance is through Firehawk's ride photo booth. Orion's exit is through Firehawk's former entrance.

That new drone footage is great. It especially gives a wonderful look at the queue's progress, which is something the park really hasn't kept us updated on.

The same people that started the wing coaster rumors are now saying the project has been shelved.

Mystic Timbers has an OST from IMAScore, it would be nice if Orion got its own custom composition as well IMO.

I would guess it’s stock music. The park has a habit of using awful stock music in their videos, lol.

Must just be the photo's I've been seeing... Orion's supports have always been looking silver to me. ¯\_(ツ)_/ They may look silver to you, but in person they are very light gray.

At Kings Island, it's largely for maintenance. All of the trains for the big coasters are stripped down in the maintenance shops right now. You can't go and put a stripped-down axis on DIamondback and have people ride it, it would probably be fatal. Flight of Fear could not run this year because the queue is all torn up right now in preparation for next year. I mean, I guess you can walk people through a construction zone, but lawsuits, etc. Also, staffing.

I love the design of Orion's front car. It's very "clean" and futuristic-looking.

Yeah. No. There are TONS air coaster enthusiasts who didn’t flock out to Cedar Point for SV. (Myself being one of them.) You all are missing my point, which still stands. Cedar Point built Steel Vengeance for coaster enthusiasts, but nobody came. Ergo, enthusiasts do not make up a large percentage of park attendance.

Steel Vengeance was built for enthusiasts and every enthusiast in the whole world went to Cedar Point last year to ride it. Yet 2018 still ended up being one of the lowest-attended years in the history of Cedar Point. Kings Island even had a higher 2018 attendance after adding nothing significant. Coaster enthusiasts make up a very insignificant minority. If they were the majority, Cedar Point would have had a record-breaking year. Instead, it was the complete opposite.

The park has literally been teasing the past few days by putting posters on the fence. But you wouldn't know that by coming on here.

Surprised to see no new activity on here. In fact, it’s almost like it’s The End of the World as We Know It.

Nobody was “snooping.” It’s all public record. Kings Island knows exactly what they are doing when they file those blueprints. Besides, the park is LEGALLY REQUIRED to file those blueprints. Go yell at the politicians who made the FOIA if you are really so upset about this.

I don’t understand Cedar Point’s operations. It makes no sense how Kings Island CONSTANTLY runs the maximum number of trains, yet Steel Vengeance is still running one train tonight and everything else is running near the bare minimum of trains and dispatch times can all be super slow! This is the flagship park and everything else is so fantastic, it makes no sense why this aspect is so atrocious.

The new Royal Fountain is breathtaking. So animated. A huge “wow factor!”

On another note, wouldn't it be hilarious if these blueprints are just a fake distraction that the park purposely leaked out to screw with coaster enthusiasts? These blueprints are filed with the City of Mason (I know because I went and checked). I'm pretty sure it's illegal for anyone to file false paperwork with the government. Plus, it's signed off on by the city engineer. No way this is a fake. If it is, it's illegal.

Are we sure there weren't any teasers? Maybe we just haven't found them yet... When I rode the antique cars on Friday and mentioned to the op all the easter eggs and ride references I had noticed, she mentioned there was a Firehawk reference but said she wasn't allowed to tell me where it was. Her choice of words made me think that maybe it was a teaser of some sort. If anyone else rode the antique cars, did you notice anything? It would be really interesting if it was a teaser incorporated as part of the theming to their new ride. I don't think I've heard of that happening before. There’s a can in the gas station window labeled “Firehawk Fuel.” It’s right under the “Mystic Chainsaw Oil” can.
