Man y'all get some good membership options. At SFOT you can get a gold pass that includes parking and Hurricane Harbor waterpark. That's it. I would pay extra for skip the line passes. If you want to purchase a flaspass for the year here it's 300 bucks all up front. No monthly payments. 20 bucks a month is very affordable.

Not sure why I even thought about this yesterday, but riding the coasters at SFOT I noticed when leaving the loading area if they turn to get to the main hill, they turn to the right to make the u-turn. So watching coaster videos I noticed the same thing. They make a right u-turn to get to the main hill. Is this a thing or just my experience? Sorry wasn't sure where to post this ridiculous question.

Got there today around 6pm. Was a wait for most major rides. Did get to ride Tx Giant twice on back for some reason it was dead. Couldn't get a pic of Harley Q it was walled off. Not sure what was up with oil Derrick but snapped a pic and the way they had it gated made Shockwave look closed so no line there.

Was it a light crowd yesterday because of the rain? Did you get to ride Riddler's Revenge? That's one of my faves. I wasn't aware of the single rider rule myself, but I've always been with someone. Good to know if I ever pop in by myself, and I always sit in the back. As far as the oil Derrick I don't even know if it's even been open in a while. It's always closed when I go. I'm about to head out there, I'll check out the paint situation you're talking about. I'm glad you got to enjoy the park!

That's one thing that really surprised me about SFOT — that there was really nothing at all that vegetarians could eat. Granted, theme park food isn't exactly known for its nutritious value or healthy options, but this is probably the only park I've visited where I struggled to find anything. Yea I usually eat at Casa de la Banderas. You can get the salad which is pretty big. The nachos are good and you can sub black beans for the meat. Other than that it's just French fries or the big pretzel but I skip the crappy cheese sauce. It's terrible. Guess I can keep suggesting a veggie patty and see what happens.

Wanted to go Saturday but gonna be raining so guess I'll go Sunday. Not sure if I'll have someone with me or not. Ok so I'm vegetarian, don't hate me. I've emailed them a few times about getting a veggie patty in the burger place and they made it sound like it's a great idea. Do they do that to everyone that emails suggestions? Lol Obviously not getting my veggie patty this year.

Where Are You Going in 2018?
ComeRideWithMe replied to ytterbiumanalyst's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I'm so happy I found this place. I've learned about so many parks I didn't know existed. After lurking and reading I've decided Cedar Point will give me the most bang for my buck. -
I haven't been to many parks, so I like jumping on threads to see what's good/not good in y'alls opinion if I ever get a chance to go. Saw y'all talking about Green Lantern being painful so went to YouTube to see what kind of ride it is. It looks really similar to the new Joker ride we got at SFOT and it's not painful at all. What makes this one painful?

Ummmm, it does have seating on both sides. . . No I meant on each end. Instead of it being loaded standing up, it could be been loaded laying flat and both ends have seats. I counted and I got 24 riders at a time. So 24 on one end and 24 on the other. For a fair/carnival ride 24 is fine, but a major amusement park the line will be a nightmare. Riddler's Revenge line moves slow and they can get 40 on at a time.

This ride looks crazy/fun but for some reason I can't get that excited for it. Maybe it's all the spinning. I don't have a problem riding spinning rides, this just looks like something that wouldn't be on my list every visit. Plus the lines are gonna be insane. I was wondering if it would've been possible to have seating on each side of it to get as many on as possible. I'll be out there opening weekend, I'll take some pics of the progress and post them.

I don't think it will be that bad on a Tuesday, even with the school break. Get there a little before it opens and go to Gotham and hopefully Riddler's Revenge will be up and running. That line gets long quick. And, to me, is the scariest ride there right now. After that, you should be able to walk on Joker and Batman. Now I'm gonna make you walk a lot, but it'll be worth it and you'll hit the good stuff before it gets too crowded. Then head to Giant. The line shouldn't be long at this point. Then go Titan. After that, head to La Vibora. If it's long do single rider. Head to Supe and knock that out, then to Shockwave which is usually walk on, even when busy. I don't mess with Runaway Mountain. The HARD brake at the end, with the way the bar sets, hurts my boobs. Lol Plus it's kind of a weak ride. After that just tool around and get on whatever strikes you. But you should be able to knock out the major rides with little to no wait if you get there when it opens. Have fun!

Woo lawd y'all, it was not a good night at Six Flags 12/8. The park wasnt busy, but almost every major ride was having technical difficulties. RR wasn't running, then they were testing it, let us in, then stopped mid cycle after one more test and that was all she wrote. Done for the night Next! Supe was fine. Walk on. SW was walk on, got up to get on the next train, tech diff. Next! Giant walk on, sit in back car, starts to roll then stops. Yup, tech diff. Sat in the train for about 10 min while maintenance did something. Alarms went off, we looked at each other like "oh sh!t" then it rolled on with us. Stayed for a 2nd ride since nobody in line. Noticed it was very slow after the break. To the point I didn't think it was gonna make it all the way through. But hey, we got to ride something! Titan was walk on. No one in the front car, which I've never rode bc I love the back. Then, tech diff! I swear I'm not lying. It was funny at this point. I asked the kid that was at the box why is this happening so much tonight. He told me it's the cold weather. It's 40 degrees here so not THAT cold. Park was about to close at this point so ran to Batman and hopped on. Only 4 of us on the ride. I've been going pretty much every Friday bc it's not busy, I live right down the street and gives me something to do. This has been the coldest night I've been. So, for people who live where it actually gets cold, do the rides there have problems like this?

Went on 12/01 and just about every major ride was walk on. It was great. 12/02 got there when it opened at noon and walked on all major rides except RR, it was down. Around 3 the place was getting packed with families so left. 12/03 got there at 415 (opened at 4) and had to park in the back lot. About a 10-15 min wait for most major rides early in the evening except Giant, that was about 25 min. RR was, once again, down but had just started letting riders in when we walked up so jumped on the first go round. Got packed around 7. Going tonight and expect it to be dead since the weather here is cold now. I haven't been on any rides in this cold of weather, should be interesting.

I was at SFOT 12/01 and the young girl ride op on Giant was talking about her boyfriend to the other young girl ride op as they were checking restraints and dropping f bombs left and right. The girl in the Batman ride didn't even check our restraints. The young all girl group at one of the concessions was being snarky as I walked off. I didn't hear her but my daughter did. It was dead so I kept walking by the front, as I was drinking my drink, and kept giving them a stare down. Lol It made them uncomfortable to the point they wouldn't make eye contact with me when they'd see me. I've found with these crap teenagers you can put them in their place pretty easily. My daughter said I should make a complaint, but I had more fun fun walking by 5 times giving them stink eye.
