The Rise of Intamin
Wes replied to coastercrazy216's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Anecdotally, most likely demand for large hyper coasters eclipsed the number manufacturers who were building them at that time (Morgan and B&M). Second tier Six Flags parks were the first to get the Intamin hypers (Darien Lake, New England, America) , so it's probable Intamin was offering an attractive price for such a large ride. As for Millennium Force, Intamin probably offered the best deal to build a 300 foot tall ride. And it turned out far better than Morgan's attempt with Steel Dragon. -
Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread
Wes replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
It definitely looks great, and probably raises the bar for standard local amusement parks...but competing with something like Tokyo Disney, Disneyland Paris, IoA etc...there's PLENTY of better entrance areas. -
