  1. Wow, Attack of the Killer Tomatos. Tough one, but all I can remember is the song. ATTACK......of the Killer Tomatos.....ATTACK.....of the Killer Tomatos It is much better with music Since Star Wars is opening, how about some good Star Wars lines Next Movie: Star Wars Ep III (A New Hope) The "real" first one and if you were old enough to see it in the theaters on the first release, then HELLO!
  2. Ted, I knew there was a reason I liked you! GO STEELERS!!
  3. I wasn't afraid of coasters so much as I was afraid of the loops and some heights. As a kid, Demon's 9 story drop at PGA pretty much got me over my fear of coasters, loops and heights.
  4. Ted, This is Awesome! I can't wait to get out there at the end of the month. Nice pics.
  5. When my wife and I started to plan our trips, one of our friends made the comment that the first trip was a RollerCoaster Palooza. The name stuck.
  6. I would agree with Elissa's trip too. Check out the times for SCBB. You might be able to stay at Bonfante a little longer than expected. There aren't a lot of rides at SCBB. There are just a couple of coasters and a new drop tower. If they close late, which I think they will, then you can spend some time there. Go to SFMW early and then PGA later in the aftenoon/evening. Close the place!
  7. This is Pee Wee Boy I will say Next: Stripes
  8. Heeeerrrre's Johnny! Next: Tommy Boy
  9. You would have never made it. There were snakes. (Indy to his dad). Next: Animal House
  10. Ted, Thanks for the report. I was at BGW in 2000 and we had a blast! We went to PKD last year. It is definately crowded there. We rode Hypersonic first and rode it only once. I can't wait to ride it again.
  11. I have been to WDW (Epcot, MGM, Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom) and Disneyland (No California Adventure...YET). I love MGM and Epcot. Gyen likes Animal Kingdom. Disneyland isn't my favorite. I can't wait to see California Adventure though. My favorite rides are below. Tower of Terror (MGM) Mission Space Space Mountain Rock 'n Roller Coaster Dinosaur Test Track
  12. Less than 2 weeks away from our trip to Michigan's Adventure, Cedar Point and Geauga Lake. I finally booked the hotel in Muskegon. We're going to see some family in Detroit and take in a couple of baseball games. Star Wars opens next week! Gyen's mom flew in from Taipei on Sunday (she was visiting Gyen's sister) and she will be here for the week. It will be a nice visit before we leave on our trip. Too many good things. Keep positive!
  13. My wife and I just became ACE members this year. We plan our own trips and I don't know if we will take one with ACE. The jury is still out on our decision to become ACE members this year. I like it here, though
  14. I love the smell of napalm in the morning Next, we will keep with the theme: Heartbreak Ridge
  15. We're going to the Sabercats game on Saturday! Two more weeks and we are going on our trip.
  16. I have never really counted them, but I have to be near 300.
  17. Greg, Kristi I think there is a Comfort Suites off 101 in Gilroy/Morgan Hill area. That might be a good place. Below is how I would attack Marine World for one day and it depends on if you want to see the animal shows or not. I would definately see the Dolphin show and the Shouka show. When the gate opens, go to the right to ride Medusa, Kong and Cobra (kiddie ride). Hopefully Medusa is running. Kong is a low capacity, ride this ASAP. Don't wait in line for it because it really beats you up. Next, go to the left side of the park for Roar, V2, and Zonga (if running). Don't stop at Ocean Discovery because you can hit that during feeding time. There is a BBQ area by Ocean Discovery that has an all you can eat. This is the best value in the park. It hasn't been open yet, but I think it might be for Memorial Day weekend. After that go to the Walrus display and continue towards the sharks. There are some flat rides around here if you want to ride them. If you didn't do the BBQ, you will be at the food court after the sharks. Depending on the time, either eat first or go see the Shouka show. It only lasts 20 minutes. At the top of the Shouka stadium is Boomerang. There are also some flat rides here. This will lead you down to the other animals. You can ride the elephant here and pet some animals too. There's a tiger show also back that way. I recommend feeding the Giraffes. The look on my nieces' faces was priceless. The giraffes tongues are huge. Now you're all the way in the back right corner, go to the Butterfly display. I don't go in, but Gyendolynne does. At this point it should be late in the day. Continue back towards the front to see the dolphin show if you haven't already and the Stargate virtual reality (I didn't like this and probably won't ride it again). After that, go to the Looney tune kid area. You can relax and the kids can have a good time. There are also a couple water rides in the park. Don't forget to feed the Dolphins and Sting Rays. I don't know what the schedule will be, but plan for that too. On your way out, ride Medusa again before you go. As for PGA, I start at Top Gun and work my way back on the left side hitting the big rides (Delirium, Stealth (OOPS! ), Psycho Mouse, Drop Zone, Grizzly, Demon, Invertigo (usually breaks down a lot), and Vortex). Next lap I do some flat rides. The reason I don't go straight to Invertigo is because it isn't running all the time and I don't like to lose out on Top Gun. SCBB and Bonfante Gardens. Go to SCBB first because there really isn't that much there. They put in a new 100 foot drop tower. You can spend the rest of your time at Bonfante and you don't have to feel you need to get to SCBB at that point. I don't go to San Francisco a lot, but ride the cable car! I hope this helps.
  18. My wife and I did the trip below last June. It was 8 parks in 12 days. We have never been to some of these parks and we wanted to stay for a couple days at some places. 6/5 (Saturday) Flew to DC. Gyen's parents live in Fredericksburg, VA. We borrowed their car for the trip! 6/6 (Sunday) Drive to Paramount's Kings Island (Red Roof Inn) 6/7 (Monday) PKD, then drive to Sandusky (Holiday Inn, very expensive!) 6/8 (Tuesday) Cedar Pt., process season pass, we stayed at Hotel Breakers for the ERT 6/9 (Wednesday) Cedar Pt., day 2 6/10 (Thursday) Cedar Pt. day 3, then drive to Aurora, OH for Geauga Lake. It was raining Geauga Lake Hotel 6/11 (Friday) Geauge Lake, still raining. We left early for Hershey, PA 6/12 (Saturday) Hersheypark We bought a 2-day ticket because we knew we would come back on Sunday. (It was Saturday and very busy, but they have a come back guarantee if you have a bad time. We had a great time and we were there on Sunday too). We stayed at the Hilton close by. I made all the reservations before going. I need to learn some things! 6/13 (Sunday) Hersheypark, then drive to Dorneypark. We went to Dorney before it closed on Sunday. It wasn't busy at all. We stayed across the street at the Holiday Inn Express. It was under $100 for the night. 6/14 (Monday) Dorneypark. We were there for about 3 hours and then left for Jackson, NJ for Six Flags. We arrived there in time to go through the safari and play at the park for about 4 hours.1 Best thing, we stayed at a Days Inn about 30 minutes south of the park. It was under $100. 6/15 (Tuesday) SFGadv. Thank goodness we were there the day before because this day was crowded! We left in the afternoon for Washington DC to SFGA. We went there for the end of the day and rode a few rides. Batwing wasn't running, but Superman was. We stayed at a Hampton Inn in Largo, MD. Expensive! 6/16 (Wednesday) SFA. Not crowded at all, but Batwing wasn't running still. We drove to Fredericksburg (back to Gyen's parents house.) 6/17 (Thursday) Paramount's Kings Dominion. Great time there! One of the good things about this trip was that we were at a park on the weekend only once. It was Hersheypark. They are so nice there. We were in line waiting to get in on Saturday and a woman behind us said, "This is the crowdest I have ever seen it!" Our wait time to get on Stormrunner was 30 minutes! That is how good they are. I wish we would have known about this website last year. We probably would have stopped at some more parks in Pennsylvania! Oh well, can't do everything. We have to work at some time. I don't know if this helped, but our big thing was to get to the next park before it closed. It usually wasn't all that crowded and we could ride a few rides.
  19. Sorry for the double post, but here are some pictures from the trip! That's us (Tori and I) in the front car pulling into the station Road Runner, a much needed ride for Gyen and I Seal Cove Shouka! Look close, there is actually a Sting Ray there. They had six in there on this day. These are the feeding times, etc. Zonga was not running The Elephant was running I think they're teasing us. Dolphins do get close. Tori has her hands up, impressing her Uncle. The girls waiting patiently!
  20. Everything was answered except Medusa's opening time on 5/1. It opened around 11am. Trains were running on all the rides (Roar, V2, Medusa, Cobra, and Kong) while we were standing in line before the gates opened. Everyone went towards Medusa and then came back. We stayed at Cobra for the girls. At least Boomerang was open! They also have a new Virtual reality ride where the Dinosaur ride was. It is called Stargate 3000. It is better than the cartoon from the last couple years, but not worth any wait in line! I haven't heard about Zonga being closed all year, but it hasn't been opened when we have gone (twice this year). Ocean Discovery was really the best. I scuba dive and love dolphins. Next time we go I am going to try to feed them and the sting rays! On a side note, if you go to Epcot Center at Walt Disney World, you can dive in the Living Seas if you are a certified diver. I have done it twice! It is great to see a shark up close.
  21. We took my nieces to Marine World Sunday (5/1). This report will be more about the new Discovery Bay. The park opened at 10am and we went straight to Medusa only to find that it was closed. Cobra was close by and the girls wanted to ride it. They rode it twice and I rode it once, Gyen didn’t ride. Ocean Discovery just opened on Friday and it was our first look at it. They have the same Seal Cove and Sea Lion Stadium, but they added Penguin Passage (which was cool), Dolphin Encounter, and Sting Ray Bay. You can pet the dolphins and sting rays if they come to you, but during the feeding times I am told that you do get to touch them regularly. I would guess because they are hungry! We didn’t get the opportunity to feed them. This day was really about the girls. They aren’t the Roller Coaster nuts that we are yet…but we’re trying! Tori, the oldest, and I rode Roar. Zonga was down. V2 was operating, but the girls didn’t want to ride it. We went to the dolphin show, Shouka’s show, and rode the elephant. The girls wanted to hang out in Looney Tunes Seaport for the rest of the day. This turned out okay because Gyen and I never go there and we were able to ride Road Runner Express. It was worth it to get the credit! It wasn’t our regular Marine World experience, but this was definitely fun. I didn’t get disappointed at Medusa not running early and Zonga being down because we did other things. I am having trouble getting the pictures to be the right size. I hope to post them later.
  22. Robb and Elissa, I know this is going to sound like sucking up, but oh well. I just wanted to say Thank You for all the hard work you two put into running this website. My wife and I have been going on roller coaster trips since we met in 2000. This site and forum are helping us to plan our future trips. The reviews are so valuable to know where to go and possible problems in some parks. We appreciate the postings from the “regulars” as well. I wish I would have found this site a couple years ago. I think it is good to hear Thank You once in a while. It looks like we are a demanding bunch! OKAY, SUCKING UP IS OVER!
  23. This is the pride of Angel Beach High, MEAT This boy is deformed Men in Black
  24. Our big trip for the month is out to Cedar Point along with other parks. We leave on May 21st for Detroit where we go to Hard Rock Cafe and take in a Tiger's game (do ballparks count as parks ?) Michigan's Adventure is next for a couple days (Satuday night and Sunday). We leave for Cedar Point Monday afternoon, hopefully we get there for a night ride on Millenium, or TTD! On Thursday we leave for Cleveland to take in an Indians game, Rock 'n Roll HoF, and Hard Rock Cafe. We stay at Geauga Lake on Thursday night and go there on Friday! Saturday we're back to Detroit to visit family and go home Sunday 5/30. Memorial day we are back home in San Jose. That's our trip.
