  1. Robb, What's with Elissa having to carry shoes in the first pic? Those are too big to be hers...
  2. ^^Dude, you crack me up....
  3. This is great news! I have all the Calvin and Hobbes books. Can't wait for this one to come out.
  4. ^What did you think about the beer stein?
  5. Wally, Great pics! Looks like you had a nice time. That is a hell of a wad of CASH in your hand in your first pic. Gyen and I stayed at Stratosphere the last time we were there. Next time she wants to stay at Luxor.
  6. I don't know specifics about their attendance. Their VIP cards for 2006 have dropped quite a bit from the 2005 season. http://www.pgathrills.com/shop/shopping_season_pass.cfm Last year you had to buy 4 or more to get the VIP pass for around $64.99 (I can't remember if this is accurate, but I know that it was over $60) and if you bought it individually it was around $69.99 at the same time last year (Sept-Oct). The link above has the pricing and it has dropped to $59.99 for 2 or more. It seems to me that PGA didn't have the turn-out they expected this year and realized that it could be their ticket prices. Just an observation. I hope they add a coaster soon too....I miss Stealth
  7. What a great victory for Pittsburgh! GO STEELERS!!!!
  8. Pictures continued. There was a sign that said "Stay at least 5 feet away from the monkees." I got this pic from a distance. The monkees were roaming free! Plenty of turtles and catfish We stopped by the National Zoo before we left on Tuesday. Dave, that isn't wine.... Looking forward to the dinner Gyendolynne giving the "Where's Waldo" impersonation. I don't know if you made it here yet, Robb. This pic of the proprietor is for you though. It isn't in Denver, but it is in Fredericksburg. We made it to Carrabba's for the first time. I thought I could help him out. Tommy the cat decided that Monday wasn't supposed to be Labor Day, but relaxing day. It takes around 3 hours to mow the lawn. Gyendolynne helping her dad mow the lawn. They have a very big property. Ready for a great dinner. The end of a day of canoeing This is a great seafood restaurant in Stafford Virginia. Made it back. I'm still dry and smiling about it. This is one of the 2 beaver dams on this reservoir. Look close, this bird was on top of the beaver dam that is in the next picture. A little rougher in this one. The water was like glass in the shot. A random shot of a toad. Gyendolynne almost stepped on it.
  9. Hi everyone, We went to Virginia over Labor Day weekend to visit Gyendolynne’s parents. While we were there we went to Luray Caverns, drove by Shenandoah National Park, paddled the canoes on Ni River Reservoir (from Dave & Sue’s backyard) and we went to Carrabba’s for the first time. Other than that, we hung out, BBQ’d and enjoyed our visit. There will be a couple of pages of pictures. You can see the wood to the left of us. There was an island there where some people camped. We hooked up and rowed together for a little bit. After some paddling, it is just nice to steer. Dave paddling away. A picture of one of the coves. We are off and so far, so good, we stayed dry. Now, onto our Canoe trip around the reservoir. First we had to get our canoes in the water. MMMM...Dinnner is served! Dave has a great collection of beer steins. I chose this one for Wally. Some rib-eyes for dinner. Are you getting hungry Wally? A drive by Shenandoah National Park on the way home. Many different modes of transportation throughout this museum. We headed over to the car museum after the tour of the caverns. The final underground pool. The four of us at the end of the tour. There is an organ connected to the stalactites. The stalactites are used as the organs pipes. This was taken while looking straight up! Not a place to be if there is an earthquake. Another shot of the caverns Rick in front of the "curtain" this thing was huge! Another underground pool. This is a better pic of what was behind Gyendolynne. Geyndolynne in front of the last stalactite that has fallen in the caverns. Rick in front of some stalactites The world's dirtiest teeth There are underground pools of water. They look really deep, but that is actually the reflection above. Main area when you go down the steps into the cavern, the pictures don't do it justice to how big this really is! It is a National Landmark! We made it here We found this funny that Antique tables were made DAILY!
  10. Singing - I got a feeling.....PITTSBURGH's going to the Super Bowl... It's not the last time...PITTSBURGH's going to the Super Bowl.... GO STEELERS!!!! shakes terrible towel 8)
  11. Way to go Gregg! Getting certified isn't easy. To get it on the first try is AWESOME!
  12. I have been reading this, sorry I haven't jumped in until now. Flyingcoasterfreak, I believe nailed this. I just want to try to figure out the clues and think about some of the pics. I am looking forward to the 'Boston' 'Tea' and 'Vacation' clues getting explained. I also got a little hung up on the Idlewild sign. I was thinking that R&E were probably driving and went camping in Idlewild, CA (it is Northeast of Bakersfield), or the Idlewild in Northern California. You can see I was definately lost. I can't wait to find out exactly how this trip went and what all the clues meant. I am in Virginia visiting my in-laws and this has been very enjoyable. Thanks R&E
  13. I'm sorry to hear this. We are in Virginia right now, this was my first opportunity to log on.
  14. I didn't Google, but I searched on Yahoo. I did a few different searches, don't know which one actually got me here, but I do know that the link was to you Winter Coaster Solace pictures from this year. This site had everything that I was looking for, and hoping to do. Searches: Amusement Parks Roller Coasters Theme Parks
  15. I always dug, and still do dig Teri Hatcher. Other crushes: Elle Macpherson (Sports Illustrated wallpaper!) Heather Thomas Heather Locklear
  16. Great looking Steaks Wally!
  17. I'm a Scorpio!
  18. We just come down for Knott's, we haven't done the Haunt yet. Maybe we can look into getting down there for this one. I don't know how much vacation time we both have. Both of us started new jobs this year.
  19. Gyendolynne and I would love to go, but we will probably come down on a Saturday and go to SFMM on Sunday and Knott's on Monday. Haven't decided what day though yet. Maybe October 17th or 24th for Knott's on Monday. Have fun.
  20. I'm tired of people DRIVING in the fast lane! The far left lane is meant for passing, or driving faster than everyone else! What is it with California that you have to pass on the right? If you aren't passing someone on your right, then get the F%$& out of that lane and let the car behind you pass. If you are driving the same speed as the person next to you, either go faster or slower to let other people get around you. END RANT!!!! Maybe not...
  21. My heroes growing up were: Jack Lambert Terry Bradshaw Doug Harvey (Major League Umpire, not talk show), I did get to meet him, stay at his place, and play golf with him Heroes getting older: Ted Barrett (Major League Umpire) Pat Tillman (I knew him from when he was 10. You couldn't grow up in our Valley and not know each other. He was a great young man and a true hero.)
  22. ^^There are actually 3 waterslides there. The one with the raft up at the other end comes out from the right, shoots up, and then comes down. The orange one comes out just to the right of the one in the photo and has the same type of raft. The 3rd one is all the way to the right. It has a yellow raft that seats a few people. It doesn't have one of those big tunnels like SFMM though. Maybe they will expand again..... By the way, Happy Birthday Allison! This is the second picture of the raft coming down. It was a little too dark though.
  23. Way to go Robb, thanks for all the hard work.
  24. Great pictures Wally. Looks like you had some fun!
