  1. Death Cab For Cutie on April 21st in Madison, WI.
  2. Superman Returns: 8/10 The theatre I work at put on a special 10 PM show on Tues. night. I was working until about 10:30 though. So, with 12 minutes worth of previews I probably missed a good 20 minutes. I just can't find it in my heart to give this movie a perfect 10. Granted, the effects were top notch, and I thought Brandon Routh was pretty good. In my opinion Lois Lane could have been older, and the story line should have been a little more developed. Spacey was pretty good as well. Click: 5/10 The movie had a good moral, however, this was another movie that lacked development and pacing in the first few scenes. Christopher Walken deserves better. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest 7 Days!!!!!
  3. Would you happen to been at Mt. Olympus on friday the 23rd? I saw a couple of women who looked like sisters getting t-shirts signed by ride-ops. They said "Woodie Tour 2006" on them. If so I probably saw you in Hades station. Glad you liked the ride!
  4. Death Cab For Cutie, Orpheum Theatre, Madison, WI. The opening act was the Cribs, a band that sounded an awful lot like The Clash. Great show. It was a side stop between larger venues so it was very intimate. Death Cab got to relax a little and play some material that they normally wouldn't. They opened with Passenger Seat so that was pretty unexpected. The encore included: Marching Bands of Manhattan, I Will Follow You Into the Dark, and Transatlanticism. To cap it all off my friends and I got to meet the band afterwards. We walked around for awhile, got a bite to eat, walked back to our parking ramp, and lo and behold the guys were chatting with a group of fans. The were so friendly and in no rush whatsoever. We were probably talking to them for 30 minutes or so.
  5. Passenger Seat - Death Cab For Cutie
  6. Tango looks just like Jester's Wild Ride at Great America, only with a different topper. I'm sure they didn't have many options though. Looks like this is shaping up to be a great addition!
  7. Wood: Cyclops @ Mt. Olympus. For those who haven't been on it. You REALLY need to. Steel: Raging Bull, obviously in the back row. Ohhhhhhh, those clamshell restraints.
  8. You must be thinking Six Flags America. I haven't been there so I have no idea. Great America is absolutely worth it though!
  9. Hey guys, great update! Makes me want to get to Great America really soon. An update on Mt. Olympus... The Parthenon Indoor themepark is scheduled to open this weekend. They moved the Disk-O inside. Opa, the wild mouse is indeed the generic model, not like Timberland Twister. There are bumper cars, spinning teacups, some sort of kiddie tower ride, etc. It seems as though they rushed the construction of this building as it looks like there is not much done to the inside. It is a tent structure after all. If you go to www.mtolympusthemepark.com you'll see what I mean. Hopefully those pics are old.
  10. Hi, I'm Nathan and I currently live in Milwaukee, Wi. So I guess would consider my homepark to be Great America(yes!). I am a freshman in college and studying architecture. Although I would like to dabble in thematic design. My real hometown, however, is Portage, Wi. It's about fifteen minutes from the Dells. Since that's the case i also condsider Mt. Olympus and Timber Falls my homeparks. My coaster count is around 20, but I only really got into coasters about three years ago. Fav. Wood is Hades Fav. Steel is Raging bull(no trims) That's about all! I'm really excited that I finally joined the site!
