  1. The 'taller than 54"' thing looks to me like it's a kid's-only haircut place. I've seen similar things around town. They have smaller chairs that raise up higher and better proportioned shampoo bowls. I saw one where above the shampoo bowl was a big elephant head and the water came out of its trunk. Kinda disgusting, actually. I'm all in favor for these things because I normally hate cutting kids' hair. Unfortunately, these places tend to come and go quickly. You can only charge so much for a kids haircut therefore shops like this don't make much money but the overhead is the same. Not a lot of kids get highlights and that's where the money is. Maybe they'll have OTSRs on the chairs to keep kids from wiggling so much?
  2. TPR's Awesome Coaster TV Tube Show Great Job. Actually, I voted for CoasterTube, simply so I don't have to explain what it is every time I mention it to someone. I think TPR TV sounds catchier and more fun to say, but CoasterTube will make more sense to the masses. I just hate the masses.
  3. I seem to remember some of the newer PTC trains (Voyage, in particular) have open seat dividers. It's like a rectangle of padding with nothing in the middle, leaving a little more donkey room than the ones with solid dividers. I have a 38" waist and a big ass and I fit on the Voyage just fine. And I thank God for that every time I think of it.
  4. That looks great for a family coaster. I actually really like rides like this. I like the trees and the use of terrain especially. And it IS really quiet.
  5. *feeling the love* Are the trip boards up yet? I don't see them. I'm guessing my deposit hasn't been gotten yet...
  6. I understand Great America's Grizzly (which is the same layout) is actually worse. I find that difficult to believe, but I guess we'll find out.
  7. YES! I admit I had to google 'bagsy' before I could respond with such an emphatic affirmative.
  8. When I first realized that I would not be able to do a TPR trip next year, life seemed so bleak. I saw little reason to go on. But I began to put the pieces together and tried to move forward. Yesterday, I had a meeting with my accountant that turned everything around. He made it clear that a TPR trip was not impossible, but only mildly irresponsible. I thought, "Hey! I'm mildly irresponsible! I can do that!" So I've just sent my deposit in for the West Coast Trip! Huzzah! The moral of this story is 'Don't Give Up.'
  9. Again, I'm left completely and slightly with just a bit of in the background.
  10. Luke + Cameras = Magic That drop tower at Waldameer was FANTASTIC and I hate drop towers. Also, in case we do all get sucked into a man-made black hole tomorrow I'm really glad that the last TPR trip report I ever read was so enjoyable. I just wish you'd have made more mention of Dan getting wet or Aquatrax and stuff. And you didn't post anything through the trees really...tut, tut.
  11. I was so sad when you guys left Kings Dominion. Sooooo saaaaaaad! It was then that it was really all over for me. I wander aimlessly around I-Street thinking about a snack, got nothing and went home. I didn't cry. Almost. Maybe a little.
  12. I would like for it to collapse while I'm riding it. Think of the airtime!
  13. During the puppet show, I could hear a Depeche Mode sing-a-long going on in the back of the bus. How I longed to be there...
  14. Tyler's puppet show was disturbing. My therapist still doesn't understand just what went on.
