  1. Hi there everyone. I've only got 16 in my count, so looking for any chance possible to increase it, my friends have invited me down to Los Angeles to experience Magic Mountain and Knott's Berry Farm. We're going on Friday the 14th, and with my friends, here is the schedule. Tell us whether or not it works. 1. GhostRider 2. Silver Bullet 3. Sierra Sidewinder 4. Montezooma's Revenge 5. Jaguar 6. Xcelerator 7. Boomerang 8. Coast Rider 9. Pony Express - - - - - If one of the locals could spot check it, that would be awesome. To remind you again, I'll be visiting in two days. Thanks!

  3. When I was at work today, wearing my Gold Striker shirt... Friend: Gold Striker? Is that a roller coaster? Me: Yeah, it's at California's Great America in Santa Clara. Friend: Oh yeah, that one! Those loops were so scary. He's a good friend, but I think he needs some educating on which is which
  4. Just came from the park on Sunday, I've got a full review of Patriot for you. Here ya go! The ride itself was more fun than I thought and, in my opinion, a great improvement. First off, of course, it's much smoother. There's no headbanging, pressure on your legs, and, most of all, the new wheels make for a glossy smooth ride with no rattling. I did get a little headbanging maybe twice during the ride, but it was nothing bad at all. Speaking of rattling, all of the elements almost feel nonexistant because of the smoothness. The result is that you can enjoy some of the lateral turns, specifically right after the vertical loop. The corkscrew is an inversion for good hangtime, and while this was one of the two moments where I banged my head when exiting, it's much better than the whipping of Vortex. The only problem I have is that while it is smoother, it feels a bit more forceless. However, it's not supposed to be intense and more on just being fun and smooth. If I had to rate it, I'd give it a solid 7/10, compared to giving the original Vortex a generous 4/10.
  5. Hey everyone! Why the weird name? I don't know... I was eating them as I registered. I live in Fremont, CA. I was a former operator of Medusa at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, until I got an internship at Pixar. My Coaster Count is very low, an embarrassing 16. Unfortunately, I just became a coaster enthusiast this past week, and I've only been to CGA and SFDK. But I've got loads of new plans lately; look at the Trip Plans for 2017 or whatever that thread is called for information. Here are my Top 5 Coasters. Look in my signature too. 1. Joker 2. Gold Striker 3. Medusa 4. Flight Deck 5. Superman Ultimate Flight
  6. Joker at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom over my Spring Break!!! Current #1 out of the 16 I've ridden. Love the intense inversions, powerful airtime hills, and long ride.
  7. Over the summer, since I just recently became a true "coaster enthusiast" this past week, I'm planning this trip. Big 2017 Trip - June 26th - Fly into Tampa - June 27th - Busch Gardens Tampa - June 28th - Fun Spot America and SeaWorld Orlando (I'd like to do Disney and Universal, but they are much too expensive and there isn't much to do as a thrill seeker at Disney) - June 30th - Carowinds - July 1st - Fun in Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg (possibly an Alpine Coaster) - July 2nd - Dollywood - July 3rd - Holiday World - July 4th - Kentucky Kingdom - July 5th - Kings Island - July 6th - Break Day - July 7th - Cedar Point - July 8th - Kings Dominion - July 9th - Fun in Washington DC - July 10th - Six Flags Great Adventure - July 11th - New York City fun and (possibly) Lake Compounce - July 12th - Six Flags New England - July 13th - Fly back to San Francisco I know, it sounds ridiculously expensive. But I've got 3 good friends who I will be splitting the cost with. Besides the big trip plus visits to my home parks (SFDK and CGA), I will also be going to the following parks - Silverwood (I have relatives in Spokane) - Las Vegas coasters (Desperado, Adventuredome, and Manhattan Express) I've got a big year ahead of me. I will probably break the 100 coaster mark. Any support would be helpful!
  8. ^ I doubt Mean Streak will duel. Plus, depending on how many supports are being removed, I'd guess it would be less than three quarters the original length
  9. Hello, everyone! I'm new to the site, and this is my first post. I'm posting here in specific because Six Flags Discovery Kingdom is my home park. I was formerly a ride operator for Medusa a couple years back, before Roar became Joker. I decided to join the site because currently, I've only ridden coasters at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom and California's Great America. I was wondering if I could get some good help on how to increase my coaster count and hobby as a coaster enthusiast? Here is some information you should know about me... Coaster Count - 16 (I know, it's pathetic) Top 5 Coasters 1. Joker 2. Gold Striker 3. Medusa 4. Flight Deck 5. Superman - Ultimate Flight
