I attended some of RoSFest this weekend. Spock's Beard and Enchant were both amazing. I'd seen both bands before many times, but they were at the top of their game here. I also caught Glass Hammer's set, and thought they were just "ok". Nothing really stuck out about them. dt

While I enjoyed the new Avengers film, I did not like it as much as the first one. I thought there were too many characters, and that there was too much stuff in it that you had to be a fan of the comics to appreciate. One thing that really worked in the first film (and in Guardians Of The Galaxy as well) was that if you never read a comic you could easily follow and enjoy the film. Not nearly as successful with this in the second. I also felt it might have been a bit too long. I did like Ultron, though I have to say the movie would have been amazing if near the end Ultron would have opened up and Red Reddington would have jumped out, yelling "Surprise, bitches!" (only fans of The Blacklist will get this). dt
